MLG has been pretty vocal about not having any beta games, not even thinking about them. So people screaming at MLG to add dota is just stupid... The market for those games is big though and in the LoL vs HoN fight, i think it's pretty clear who is the winner right now, and it just helps that Riot will pay everything...

Also on the vVv interview, Valve doesn't seem to be pushing CS:GO/Dota 2 to be added onto the season. Hell, Dice is pushing BF3, Namco Tekken, Warner Brothers MK9, and EPIC Games Gears of war 3 to be in the 2012 season of MLG. it's actually pretty amazing that all those developers want their games in MLG.

Valve already said that they wont put money into CS:GO. They think there is a community that have compititions in CS now and that they will shift. So they wont put money. They also said that they didn't think the same thing were true for Dota2, hence they made The International. But it's pretty apparent that Valve doesn't think that it makes sane to buy space for a league to use their games. They will properly continue with The International to get people into Dota2 but wont put money anything else esports wise. But I don't really see MLG taking dota2 over LoL as long as Riot is doing what they are doing, also because the US market is pretty much LoL. There is one dota team, EG in the top, not even 2nd tier or 3rd tier has american teams. They all play LoL. So unless dota2 gets the LoL community and teams, MLG will keep LoL because it gives good numbers.

- 4 big events and more (we knew this) - Halo's future still in Limbo. Likely to not be featured next year. Community is dying. -New logo of MLG to be Sundance and Julie's face (somehow holding hands)

Agreed, also if MLG picks up LoL There will be little reason for the current LoL Teams/players to switch to Dota 2.

A source within Major League Gaming has disclosed to ESFI World that the company will be canceling many of their online shows. The affected shows include Rod Breslau's "!@#$ Slasher", "StarCraft Report" hosted by Patrick O'Neill and JP McDaniel, Weekly Warfare, Julie's Show and the MLG F.A.Q. It is unknown as to what the future of "State of the Game" is as the source did not disclose if the show's syndication as part of MLG's programming will continue. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=296422 Even though MLG cancels this shows, Sundance still says not to worry about the move and hints to an even better 2012. (Could the shows just be cancelled for the reminder of this year only to be back much better in 2012? ![]() Sundance said: More of what we do best in 2012 - lots more of it.

http://www.majorleaguegaming.com/news/the-ultimate-gaming-house-gift-guide So just recently MLG published the Ultimate Gaming House Gift Guide in their website. There, you can find the list of the top prizes that picked out for UGH winners this year. No big deal so far, right? Well, what is curious about this list, is that the majority of the hyperlinks provided to find the product lead directly to Best Buy's online store. Even the StarCraft II hyperlink leads to Best Buy as the place to buy the game instead of directly from Blizzard. Could this be a sign of Best Buy sponsoring MLG in 2012?
