The sentence "nobody would be talking about her at all if she weren't female" can only be read one way, which is how I read it. He didn't say anything about her looks, he just said "female." Therefore he's saying that because she's female, her appearance is a fair topic. Pretty clear if you ask me.

She played in a female only tournament.... Now perhaps she's actually on par with male players on that team, that I don't know. But from what I gather she got this position because she won a female only tournament, something that I don't really see as an "achievement". Perhaps if she had gotten into Code A, or something, then yeah I'd be like "yeah, that's a pretty legit move." I just hope she actually plays in GSL, and does well. Otherwise women are just getting preferential treatment in team acceptance.

It's a huge achievement and without female only tournaments we will most likely always have men only tournaments. It's not a special treetment it's just fair.

Last time I checked the rules of tournaments doesn't state you need to have a penis to participate.

I don't see what the big deal is. I'm just as interested in how the male pro gamers look, too. Nada's body thread anyone?

When fdemale gamers get chosen by their looks instead of their skill, this takes away legitimacy of the female players. In this case however aphrodite won a tournament that had most likely the strongest female lineup so far. Colagirl (who lost to aphrodite) was a grandmaster. So skillwise she is not bad. Let's see how good she gets as part of a professional team.
