Guild Wars had standalone expansions for example on the back of strong PvP. Maybe they think they can make more money this way. I'm just saying that it seems like this will just further decrease the ladder population if you make the barrier of entry higher for new players. $40 expansion plus whatever WoL ends up being ends up being probably higher than the cost of a new release.

Listening to the latest conference call i got the feeling that HoTS isn't coming out until earliest Q1 2013. They already have Diablo 3 and WoW Expansion coming out this year. And they don't want to take away any spotlight from the Battle.net championships which will have WoL.

tems: $39.99 Shipping & Handling: $24.98 Total Before Tax: $64.97 Estimated Tax To Be Collected: $0.00 Import Fees Deposit $12.34 Order Total: $77.31 Makes it not worth it. And i'd rather donate 5 dollars or so to your cause or if you can find a way to not have that kind of shipping price for non US residents (like digital) i'd be happy to suport it. Nevermind by reading through i see you will plan on someting like that later on.

Switching over new years makes alot more sense E-sports wise as well since they wont intrude on tournements

What are you doing on a Starcraft forum, commenting on HotS threads, if buying the actual game itself is not an instant 'yes', regardless of whether it costs $10 or so more than you would expect? What the actual fuck are you doing here? Who are you to judge people on what they want to spend on a game?

I believe that's a major feature of a forum after all. On February 29 2012 17:20 Lysanias wrote: Very intelligently spoken. So we either pay any price there is no matter what. Or we get the F out of these forums. Flawed logic. I didn't point to that conclusion. Quibbling over $10 or so for a game you supposedly enjoy enough to amass hundreds or thousands of posts on a said game-related forum seems retarded.

Yet you complain about other people expressing their own opinions of the price, even going as far as to suggest they leave the forum for their insolence. There's having an opinion, and then there's just being fucking rude.
