I don't think it Blizz will change it, because during a game the first thing you think about when seeing a Swarm Host is "crap, those little boogers will will me" then after a bit of battle, then you think "damn that's gross!"

And I doubt many times it will be creepy cause you'll be trying to kill it.

i think theres such a small amount of people with that Phobia (and its not like its one with a super major reaction) that blizz is unlikely to change the swarm host due to it

although i would like a change to the animation, as of now (from waht ive seen) its got a bunch of holes with the blue stuff, then all of it disapears to produce one swarmling thing

i think it would be better if it started empty then they slowly starting filling after burrowing and each one launched after one filled

I'd like to think that phobias are like diseases, and that it's not peoples fault that they have them. However I have this nagging "deal with it" feeling that I just can't get rid of. I apply this rule to things like hunting massive spiders that I spot intruding in my house. But like I said, I'd like to believe that phobias are like diseases, but on other hand thinking like that might only encourage the phobia-owner to be more afraid because "it's not my fault, it's just natural".

Oh well, I don't know. However it is, I don't think it's Blizzards responsibility to take into account every single disease out there, even if phobias are those. I mean, as much as you'd like SC2 to be compatible with people who lost one of their hands (to extent that they can be pros), it just can't be. I'd apply this rule to other rare things that might impair the player.

Exactly. The latter half of the video is totally misleading due to the gross things popping out of holes. The definition of the phobia clearly just states a fear of holes and makes no mention of gross things popping out of holes. The only examples of this phobia were the beginning pics of the chocolate bar and honeycomb, etc. The rest were just gross out vids that have nothing to do with the phobia as described by the definition of it.

I think it's a bit difficult for Blizzard to try and cover any possible phobia that people suffer from unless it's particularly well known. Also Zerg is meant to look creepy and threatening not cuddly.
Gotta agree with earlier posters that the stuff in the second half of the vid like holes in human flesh and what not is just plain yucky rather than anything to do with a fear of a hole.

I'd downvote this thread if I could. Zerg larve are similar to maggots and such, and the thought of crawling insects that can penetrate you skin and do all sorts of crazy disgusting things is probably enough to make more people uneasy. Haven't seen any threads on changing the zerg larve.
