October 13-16th @ New York Comic Con
Group A SjoW Killer Attero SangHo
Group B Strelok StrifeCro Gatored DongRaeGu
Group C MaNa TT1 Pokebunny TOP
Group D elfi Axslav Edge FruitDealer
Just announced on a show @ esl.tv
Korea/Europe probably gonna take 1/2 in every group honestly. I'd say group B is the toughest, Gatored has really strong PvT and could definitely steal a win from qxc or Strelok. Also, qxc vs Strelok could definitely go either way, so this group is the most up in the air for me. Group D is easiest imo, but C isn't too scary either. Group A KiLLeR could definitely take SjoW with some good play, but I wouldn't expect it... tough group for Attero, KiLLeR and SjoW are both excellent vs Protoss.

wow only one zerg lol glad that axslav qualified :D
i think Mana has a good chance of winning it.

Wow only one zerg o.o (excluding koreans). Relatively even looking groups, B might be toughest.

same weekend as MLG, ouch
when are they announcing the koreans? its only 2 weeks around the corner
|
Hopefully we get some beatable Korean invites, nobody wants to see Top Code S players smash through these groups.
|
I feel like the EU invites are favored in each group, although Strelok/qxc and Elfi/Axslav are pretty damn close...
Korean invites will probably own every group though.

Yay!
Uber SC2 weekend!
We'll announce the Koreans soon. This week, most likely.

I like Group A, B and D Korean.
Group C Korean is overrated and will fail.

Group C Korean is overrated and will fail. Group C Korean isn't slumping, stop hating on MC like that.

Hopefully we will see some major upsets from the americans

Wow, Kind of an underwhelming lineup. Without seeing particular Korean invites, I'd have to give the edge to MaNa. The best players there are terrans and he's been exceptional in that matchup most of his career. Wouldn't be surprised if the Korean invites were Terran, as well.

Korean invites will probably own every group though. Stopped reading after this , you obviously have no clue how good Elfis PvP is...

Plus, he's not only playing against Axslav but the whole group. Never heard of this Edge guy though.

Elfi is definitely favored over Axslav... hugely.
Elfi qualified and is going to IEM China this weekend as well.

Yeah if you dont count the Dreamhack , Assembly , all the Warcraft 3 LAN tournaments where Elfi went etc.
