I really wish Sase would post some result though because he's amazing when practicing.

Just you guys wait, Korea will make him Code S again ^^ As for why he is on the poll: If you are going to remove Idra, then remove Kas as well. Idra is better than Kas, both in current skill and accomplishments. Idra is not on the very top of the list, but he is not the worst here either.

Yes he was. pre 2011 he was pretty much the best. (Beta results, MLG DC, Code S without good practice partners)

Some people have highlighted the fact that back when IdrA hit RO8 and Jinro hit RO4, SC2 was severely unrefined compared to now, but I won't get into that and simply assume that this poll counts more 'recent' performances ('recent' may vary from individual perspective). Huk has maintained his Code S status for 6 months now (GSL May, July, August, October), a tournament where even the best in the world fall out of (IM.Mvp, MarineKingPrime.WE, etc). Huk is the first and one of two foreigners to win a LAN tournament that is dominated by Koreans. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying Thorzain is bad. In fact, I'm a fan of his and I'd put him to a close second. But I'm still shocked that so many people have voted for Thorzain over Huk. I know I might be riding the whole Code S idea here, but is there any other tournament in the world held regularly at a LAN setting with arguably the best of the best, with players like Nestea/Mvp? It's "who's the best foreigner", not "who's my favorite foreigner" or "who's the best foreigner not playing in tournaments where the best players in the world play for various reasons including but not limited to not wanting to stay in Korea". I believe that if we put Thorzain in code S today, he could and would do better than Huk. Huk was really really good around the time he won Dreamhack, but then decided to move into an airplane and travel the continents like a pinball ball for an extended period of time. That obviously affected and diminished his play. Relatively he is not as good as he was. The reason can be found in my signature. With his mindset and dedication he will probably be back where he was shortly, but I don't believe he is the best foreigner today, argueably he might not even be top 3 right now.

Mana has been playing much more stable then nani right now IMO. It seems mana just executes the basic fundamentals without being flashy almost better than any foreigner out there minus thorzain. MaNa is close, but he really needs to play in more high-profile tournaments. He had huge consistency issues in the past, so I'm a bit reluctant to put him up there. That said, one more good finish in a major tournament, and he'll go up there. Naniwa has sort of dropped off a bit since going to Korea and learning that Protoss underpowered, but his record is still very good, and his "slump" hasn't lasted long enough to knock him off the pedestal, for me at least.

I think Jinro hit his top just after the new year, no? I am Idra biased, and Jinro rode the macro terran wave too. People hadn't really adjusted to the macro terran style, and Jinro did it reaaalllly damn well too. I think that was a big reason for his success. I dunno much about Jinro except the GSL runs, and that he too have fallen off

If I would pick someone who could consistently beat Koreans it would be Sen/Thorzain/HuK and Naniwa and Mana right behind. They have all done it at major events. If players like Stephano, Dimaga, Ret and Nerchio start doing well against Koreans at LANs I would put them in there too. Idra is in a slump.

p.s. SeleCT is from USA ? C'mooon ! If he is american, then Sase, Huk and Naniwa are koreans - same logic.

There are so many good players though, much larger than your list that are arguably very close in skill. Well the poll is not based on accomplishments read the op. It says at the moment
