Having a great translator is more important than you think. It allows Korean players to focus that much more on practicing rather than trying to find out when their match starts and the overall confusion that goes around when there are no experienced korean speaker to help them out.
To Recap why Milkis is an important asset for MLG - Helps Korean players feel less intimidated by welcoming them and helping them co-ordinate matches during the tournament - Allows Korean players to focus on the match without having to deal with english-speaking staff - Cute Face - Friendly Image - Great Translator that is already a known face in Korean Pro-gaming Community - Knows how MLG works in and out.
If I were Sundane, I'd hire him over any other Korean Translator. why? sure Milkis may not be the best korean-english translator here tbh. but he is very good at it. Other assets of Milkis make him superior than other competing translators just because hes has that friendly image and seem easy approachable by other top tier korean players. Take this position Milkis and your good to go as long as SC2 doesn't die out.

If you don't want to then don't. I follow you on Twitter and you sound stressed enough already
All that will happen if you don't take it is a lot of dissappointment from the TL community and we won't regard you with the same respect.
jkjkjkjk the first line is serious though.

That said, full time offer is a different ball game. Milkis is from UChicago Economics no? That's undoubtedly the best economics program in the US ( world?) and the median starting salary for its grads probably is close to 70,000 USD per year or even more. Will be pretty crazy if MLG offers that much. Without trying to look too much into his personal life, I'd say looking at it from purely monetary point of view, it's probably not worth it for him to go full time MLG.
of course this isn't just about money( it's ESPORTS!) and the economics job market isn't exactly hot right now. Starting salary of 70K is an exaggeration unless you're talking about higher degrees. That would be so nice though if it were true. My friend from school got a job offer @ 65k/year w/ a economics degree from Notre Dame. It's not an exaggeration at all. From U of Chic it's very possible With an undergrad degree or a grad degree? Sounds impressive with just an undergrad degree. If this is true, then I'm switching majors. I go to uchic, funny how I never got to meet Milkis @_@ I am prepared to accept that Chemical Engineers receive decent job offers as an undergrad. Don't think they get a starting salary of 65 k$/year either, though. However, they may, the best ones.
Then, computer science and engineering majors, depending on how good they are, could get that. I am just not sure if somebody with Economics degree will get that in a normal situation. I have a friend with a master's degree in economics, he was looking everywhere to get a job offer. His friend must have contacts or he must be one of a kind or something.
It is too late for me to change my major. Those numbers kinda seem unfair to me looking at them
