The pecs are pretty much useless and only makes up as a good meatshield, like the zealot (dat reference). Lemme see some squats!! YES. Bench is by far the most useless lift of the big 3 - so let's see some squats and deads!

Very unfortunate but a surprising and inspiring story. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3033310/4st-Lizzie-eats-every-15-mins.html You are the ignorant one. Almost everyone would die at 1% BF. If you think anyone in this thread actually meant that is it physically impossible for any human to ever have <1% BF, then you are wrong.

Yeah normal healthy people die at those low bodyfat percentages. Coming up with a single person with a genetic disorder that lives with extremely low body fat isn't a argument at all. Also that girl looks very weak and has already gone blind on one eye and was near death due to her blood not working properly. A stupid example.

Well lets be real here if the benchpress didn't matter, then sports team would never use this as a work out. I played 12 years of football and here in Northern California it is taken very seriously. Benchpress helps with a ton of stuff like the rip and pull technique, keeping the defenders hands off of you but most of all (if your a D or O linemen) then its VERY important for keeping a your opponent at a good distance. Oh yea lets not forget about when your first coming off the line, that first initial punch if you will to there chest is very important as well. Your chest is very important to build up strength (in football terms) cause it also adds to a good core which is also very important. I know when I played football the MAIN workouts were , benchpress, squats, Snatch and pulls (but modified so when u bring the bar up and hurry and squat under it catching it on your chest.) I actually to have a new found respect for Idra knowing he can bench 205 (which is most likely more then his body weight which is great!) FML Thats soooooo much for Incontrol I knew he was a power lifter just didn't know it was to this level. Machine got skillz to yo...very impressive My max bench before I stopped playing football was 300 flat that I only was able to max out twice so it was short lived =/
