Not sure why Taiwan is relevant to this discussion since this event is in Beijing? But anyhow, SC2 is pretty big in Taiwan it seems, they have a big team league TeSL that's broadcast on TV (weekly IIRC) which is a first. So I heard from Sen's NASL application video ^^ Dota is still the top game in China since, well, it is essentially free unlike SC2. Although SC2 is becoming more popular, more players, more pros and more tournaments with quite some internet and TV coverage.

It just seems like LG wanna give free money to MC or NaDa given invite line ups...

The WC3 pros listed are still playing WC3 competitively. I'm pretty sure the descriptions are just added to explain who the players are to those unfamiliar with them. It'd explain why Moon, Lyn, MC, and NaDa don't have short tags next to them; we already know who they are since they actively participate in the SC2 scene. Upon further consideration, I feel that I would enjoy this tournament a whole lot more if it were WC3 instead of SC2, but seeing the WC3 pros getting it all up in SC2 will be pretty fun. It is pretty much free money for MC or NaDa, but I feel as if it's a promotional/marketing thing for SC2 in China, especially when you consider the WC3 powerhouse lineup and the following: On August 24 2011 11:54 Mobius_1 wrote: Apparently the event is free and the first 1000 to enter get some decent swag (flash drive, SC2 time card for China server apparently as well).
