Please keep it simple, NASL is really to much games to watch, even GSL is getting too watered down.

Whoa previous CEO? That sucks. I'm crossing my fingers for SFIV. On August 13 2011 02:48 Joey Wheeler wrote: "50 weeks of competition? that's too much ESPORTS for me!" Do you guys realize how retarded you sound right now? I'm pretty sure most people don't watch every single goddamn game played in sport leagues like the NFL or NHL, doesn't mean it isn't a good thing there is always something going on. No one's going to take something that only happens a few weekends a year seriously. I for one, congratulate Sundance. Most people only have access to their local sports teams or occasional game broadcasted every other Sunday if you're lucky. Only a handful probably buy a season pass. There is a legit concern of diluting your content. But I guess MLG wants to keep all eyes on them. We'll see what they do. I'm sure it's going to be a lot of online stuff. Kind of what IPL is doing... "IPL TV" plus a team KOTH and infrequent "main event." Always making sure something is going on.

This is the only way we will find the American Bomber and MC. On a recent podcasts Sundance confirmed there will only be 4 events for 2012.

Can probably be accomplished with some clever overlap. well if they want '50 weeks of meaningful play' a year on every game it means there cant be an off season. if that 50 weeks means there will be something going on somewhere every week, its possible they could preserve the winter break for sc2 while still adding more summer events

Or have it monthly bases, so one weekend per month would be cool too. And they need to go to DC, Miami :D .. would be great

Which is rather unrealistic. I'm guessing that many of those "days of competition" will be online play. No, its weeks... Next year we’re looking at between 44 to 50 weeks of meaningful competition play happening in a combination of these tour stops, but also a central location for league activity to take place.

Sundance mentioned flying players to there newly built Arenas/studios to play there matches. They have 2million $ of stipends/prizepool to take care of that. so pretty much MLG is gonna do it GOM style.

Is creates anticipation and hypes the tournaments more. There is such thing as viewer fatigue. So this sounds like healthier expansion then it initially sounded.

I'm glad MLG is getting the additional sponsors/revenue and enough viewership to make this possible.

If MLG creates the REAL Global Starcraft League (yes there are a few nonkoreans in every GSL but you get the idea), with the GSL format, that would be amazing.

The fun part of MLG is going to the events. Going by the interview... maybe it will be like NASL, online play into live playoffs. This would make MLG events less RUSH RUSH RUSH and delays delay delays. It's certainty piqued my curiosity, I can't wait to hear what's in store for 2012.
