I should add that I'm not sure any of these criticisms or suggestions are things he isn't aware of or working towards. I assume he's pretty aware of his position in the community.

The only thing which kind of annoys me a little is how he talks over and interrupts his co-casters sometimes which is just kind of annoying and unpleasant to the ear in any situation in life...

It isn't unfair, when the person job is to speak. The problem with casters is that so many factors are so subjective it is often times hard to argue for either side whether someone is good or not once you get to this level of casting.

I hate the fake emotions Moletrap puts into his casting. It cheapens the games and feels like he doesn't even care enough to show real emotion.

So it is confirmed that DoA, Moletrap and Wolf stick with gom long term? That is awesome news! Especially happy for Moletrap, as his dedication to casting starcraft was one of the pillars which kept broodwar alive and me sticking to watching starcraft. Wolf and Doa are great, too. Good move by gomtv!

imho they should stick with doa & wolf, but as long as moletrap doesn't cast code s anymore I'm fine. Group C was really, really, exciting to watch, but not with someone like moletrap doing the casting, doa is fine.

I think GOM should do some sort of poll to determine who the most popular casters are. It would be much more beneficial for them to choose their casters based on the opinion of the audience. We're the ones that pay money to watch the gsl, they should be taking feedback from us. It sucks to look at the comments to the videos and see hate for moletrap, if he's not liked among the community then he should not be hired. It's an entertainment business, they make money by getting people interested in their videos.

That is what I detest. Just because stuff is happening doesn't mean you need to scream at us. Every little engagement doesn't call for that.

I agree with most of the comments here, moletrap just isn't nice to listen to, and he doesn't add anything to the viewers experience when he casts. At least his casting is better than Kelly's though.

I've been a fan of Moletrap from the beginning...... well my beginning, some time in 2007 anyway.

But I have to admit that he hasn't been coming across in the same way as his YouTube videos. He's still basically the same, but somehow seems to be trying too hard. You can see how passionate he is about this job but he just needs to chill out a little. I don't mind the stats, unlike the other casters Moletrap obviously does alot of research, but he has to calm down a little, allow the other commentator to take the lead every once in a while..... take a breath.

That last point is especially noticeable with Wolf, who seems to think he's the king of Code A casting, which he isn't, he's on the same level as all the rest, he just doesn't know it lol. Wolf looks noticably annoyed when Moletrap goes on a tangent without letting him speak, but he's not doing it out of spite just nerves.

Moletrap just needs to loosen up and open up to opportunities to joke around, something that he denies the other casters from doing by being completely down to business.

One thing that does annoy me though is the "posh" sayings he comes out with in response to what DOA and WOLF say, like "indeed" stop saying indeed and provide a little back and forward commentary. Use your co caster Moletrap, that would be the best advice for you at the moment

Moletrap and Doa are my favorite. They might not be as analytical as tastosis, but moletrap has such a passionate voice when commentating. Makes me more interested (: congrats on the long-term job guys!

He voice is extremely unpleasant, his game knowledge is lacking, his entertainment value is non-existant, and he has very few redeeming values in casting in my general opinion.

He needs to think about what he's going to say more. He often times starts a sentence without knowing how he's going to finish it, and ends up saying ummm a crap ton. I think he'd be better off only talking when he has something to say.

one or the other imo... fine with wolf/doa or wolf/moletrap, but you can't have two guys doing the same job (calling play by play) casting alongside each other. it doesn't add anything to the broadcast.

yeah and i wish some of the casters wouldn't just drastically alter their voice to create excitement. moletrap, HD and husky are some of the ones i'm thinking of that does this way too much whenever a big fight occurs - the former 2 raise their voices to incessantly unbearable levels and husky just speaks at 9000 words per minute.
