He really needs another chance, we want a P, and as much as I love MC I´d prefer him staying there training to stop Nestea As a Zerg player, hmm maybe july? he did great on his last MLG and it would be cool seeing the god of War in Pool play. he also shows great personality It would be great for Alicia to get a second chance. Pretty bad luck getting ToD so early on in the event. =/

Protoss: Vines, Yonghwa, San, Sage Zerg: Revival, Curious, Line Random (!!): GuineaPig Deserving Code B players would be in Code A if they were deserving in 9 out of 10 cases. People like DRG are the exception, not the rule. Those players are good, no doubt, but Code S/A is the top 64 not the "who is good according to Artosis based on 1 match they played once" competition. There is another 10~ or so players who are on par with those you mentioned who are the same level, like oGsHero
Dongraegu and Bomber were for sure the big exception, but they are clear Code S material. There are so many other players who are at the same level as most of code A. The exact top64 is impossible to determine. And with these single eliminations qualifiers and possible bracket fucks its easily possible to miss the spot.

That is a widespread belief, but it's actually not true. I'll see if I can find the rules regarding that. actually its true, I remember an MLG admin post it around here.
From the rules when the exchange program was announced: http://www.majorleaguegaming.com/news/starcraft-2-pro-circuit-competition-format-changes
"No matter what their MLG seed is, the invited GSL pro players will be placed in Pools based on their GSL rank. The #1 ranked GSL pro player will always be placed into Pool D, etc."
This is implying that invited koreans can have a MLG seed, it just doesn't apply for when they get invites for an event.
Official post from the MLG forums: http://forums.majorleaguegaming.com/topic/231388-2011-starcraft-2-pro-ranking-and-points/
Although it isn't updated yet, you can clearly see that invited koreans gain MLG rank points. See that MMA gained 1200 points from Columbus?

I'm very confident we shall see a Z and a P invited now. Should be great.
Just so long as it's not HongUn or something. . .

Sage for example was in the semi final of the LG tourney and had 2 semifinals and 1 quarterfinal in ICCUP weeklys. Thats some consistency for me. What could he do else outside of GSL?

WoWnStarcraft Jungwon Chae Sorry Tyler again....
i was hoping for nestea but it looks like DRG will be back
|
Mr. Chae also just apoligized to Tyler on twitter. Who else did tyler say he wanted kept far away? Maybe DRG and MC again? They're both out of Code A/S already.
DRG just said on twitter he's going to MLG again. Or more accurately that he could get code S easily through MLG.
|
I would be very disappointed to see DRG sent again. There are many other zergs that should get the chance. Maybe Nestea couldn't go but that doesn't mean there aren't also many others besides him.
|
No fucking no i can't stand only TvT from the T8 up
Need a Z hero or a meganerf on Terran before Raleigh.

lol, MLG trolling tyler big time.
KEEP THAT GUY AWAY FROM AMERICA!
I believe they trust nestea to make it pretty far into the GSL. I don't mind seeing Operation: Get DRG into Code S v2.0.
MC has to go through up and down matches: will they send him to MLG? Or will they keep him out to give more chances to DRG?
If DRG is coming back, I hope the casters will call him by DongRaeGu instead of DRG.
The boost of confidence Korean players get from interacting with foreign fans alone may motivate teams to send their players into MLG. I believe Anaheim was a giant moral boost to the whole Slayers team in trying times.

Would rather them not repeat DRG/MC honestly. Give some of the other players the opportunity imo.

All the top zergs will be committed to GSL tbh. It is looking more and more like DRG and MC/Sage.
It would be quite unpleasant for GSL to have MC go down, but bringing DRG and Sage up to Code S faster would certainly be a good thing.

Is DRG paying GOM or something?
|
I wonder who the Z and P invites are. Holding my breath for Nestea, and maybe Sage or Puzzle?
Edit: Pretty sure they won't/can't re-invite DRG because he wouldn't be the returning champ. If he's coming, it'll be on his team or him to fund the trip.

DRG Code S qualifiers, take 2.
This time they won't make a mistake of inviting another non-Code S Korean I guess.
