To Win: DongRaeGu - He really deserves that Code S spot Jinro - Some people think he's fallen from grace, but I think he still has it in him. Destiny - I used to dislike Destiny, but at MLG Columbus, he was such a stand up guy. A ton of people were crowded around him in the open area and he talked to us after his matches and was overall a really nice guy.
To Lose: IdrA - Can't stand his attitude on balance.
The only person I actively root against.

vile.Spanishiwa- Okay, there is nothing really special about this guy, its just his openings, kinda like Jinro when he went into the GSL with his passive macro style, but the thing is now almost everybody knows how to react to his type of late gas expand builds.
2 & 3 are for anybody who is ridiculously over rated like Spanishiwa. Haha Major is a mediocre foreigner at best with no results.

Who actually rates Spanishiwa as more than a guy who's creative but not a serious contender for tournament? I've never seen these people.
|
To do well:
DongRaeGu: This guy is heroic, it seems like the more the misses out on code A, the more his legend grows lol. I love watching his play and hope he kicks ass.
Jinro: Name one thing that isn't likable about Jinro. I have a feeling he's due to get back to his level when he made 2 straight semi's in the gsl, can't wait to see!
QXC: You've heard of him, he's playing his best, and he looks like John Lennon.
To do not so well:
Major: He just rubs me the wrong way in every way, the SEA tournament incident really showed he has some growing up to do.
I'm having a hard time thinking of 2 more, maybe Choya?

He actually claims the game is much more balanced. Watch more recent episodes of Inside the Game please.

I'm sorry, how can you root against Kawaiirice?!? Does he stream too much on all three servers for you? Is he too friendly and good mannered? Does he practice too much only to get no respect from top players?
It just feels so injust that someone could root against him, I didn't even know he was entering but it would make the entire tournament for me to see him do well

Win #1: ToD. What can i say, i'm a fanboy from the WC3 days. Win #2: Naniwa. Win #3 Huk. Just because he's the foreigner most likely to beat the Koreans.
Bonus Win: Mr. Bitter!
Lose #1: BoxerR. Just so we can hear all the fanboys crying into their juice. Lose #2-#3 whatever, i don't really care that much who loses. Maybe Idra, but he seems to have grown up quite a lot lately.

It was in the GeForce Pro/Am.
Destiny vs Bomber
And also from the same tournament, Destiny vs Ace

To win - IdrA: He splits the audiences to haters and fans I get thrown into the fan side. He doesnt engage as well as DRG and is not as innovative as some of the communitys attractions, But he has his own style and no one can ever take his place.
-DongRaeGu: Always counterattacks when pushed, always engages perfectly with surrounds and flanks. I get the feeling he always plays safe and counts on his ability to engage with 100% perfect to keep himself in the game and eventually get the lead and win the game.
-Someone completely unknown: Yes, I want someone who made his way into the MLG and stormed the open bracket without anyone knowing he existed before that day. I want some drama to rise from this mysterious new face, even if its only his 1 weekend of fame, I want someone to create a huge community upset and take out 1 of those really good players at the open bracket.
I tried to think about who I want to lose but I couldn't really come up with anyone specific... I think some people are overrated but they dont need to be wished down to drop, they will do so by their own accord.
|
My to do well hopes: 1. BoxeR - It would be amazing to see him in the finals and even more to see him triumph. 2. TLO - Hope he's been recovering well but it'll be awesome seeing his play again! 3. DRG - Always a fan of sick good Zerg play
As for the players I'll enjoy cheering against (nothing against them, sometimes it's fun cheering against good players): 1. IdrA - Why not? He makes cheering against him so fun! 2. Kiwikaki - I have a habit of cheering against Protoss players; the fact that he's good makes it more interesting. 3. iNcontroL - same as above.
|
To succeed: 1. I want whitera to take first place 2. Nony 3. Catz 4-20. Almost everyone else.
To fail: Last time, I said nobody. This time, i'll say anyone in pool play that doesn't deserve the spot. People who get seeded into the higher rounds of the tournament while greater players have to roll dice to get through the open bracket.

What notable accomplishments does he have? 16th at MLG? Yeah he's definitely one of hte best that's ever entered the scene!!!!!!!

i really hope the koreans bomb the open bracket.
most of them aren't probably won't come again if they get seeded so bad players like:
incontrol, tlo, machine, drewbie, etc
are gonna keep their top 16 slots. i'm just hoping these guys get booted out of group play since their skill is pretty damn low.
|
To be honest, I wanna see Sheth do really well He's so well mannered, and isn't too bad of a player I think if he can get over his stage fright and whatnot, he'll be pretty damn good
|
To win;
Major. Yeah I said it. I know he's done some shitty things but I really like his play and I always remember his interview at Colombus where in response to being asked for a message to his fans, he just looked so sad and said everyone hated him. I don't; I think he's a good player who has shown impressive play in the relatively short time since he arrived on the scene. He might be a dumb kid in a lot of ways but he'll grow up.
Tyler. To shut doubters the fuck up.
As for a third...hmmm. I like Naniwa but he won Dallas recently, someone else can have some glory. Boxer or Jinro I think. Boxer because Boxer, Jinro because people seem to forget the MLG he came and owned out of nowhere.
To fail;
I hope everyone gets first, man.
|
Well IdrA - Favorite player, despite haters being ignorant, almost always places high in tourneys.
MVP - Has not really won anything in a very long time, kinda stuttering after his GSL wins
Naniwa - Favorite protoss player, overall best foreign protoss if he can get rid of his small errors.
Fail DongRaegu - Most over-hyped player in SC2 history. People are saying he will sweep MLG, when people said the same thing about MC (a better player than DRG), who failed to win Dreamhack, NASL, Homestory, MLG, etc.
Drewbie - Do not feel is good enough to stay seeded anymore while new blood/koreans are in the open.
Haypro - Do not feel is good enough to stay seeded anymore while new blood/koreans are in the open.

Edit because I forgot to give my people ;p
To succeed:
Destiny *BOXER* Whitera
To fail:
Major Spanishiwa IdrA
I bet you want Idra to fail just so you can see him rage Im with you on that one lol
To win: QXC - Destiny - Boxer :D
To fail: Idra - Every Korean except 1 or 2 (I want to see at least some foreigners succeed in every tournament)
|
To Win: DongRaeGu: This guy with his somewhat impressive performance deserves atleast a code A spot, so I'm rooting him on to take ATLEAST a code A spot and place highly (plus he is a zerg so I guess some love extends that way) BoxeR: .... If he made a huge comeback from MLG Anaheim just think about the history I could tell my grandchildren someday HuK: Even though I have 2 koreans on my "To win" list, first of all I am rooting for foreigners(BoxeR and DRG being the only koreans I'm rooting for) but I really am hoping for HuK to win because he is my favorite foreinger. He wouldn't benefit from winning a GSL spot however.
To Lose: Although I'm not a fan of wanting someone to lose I guess ill post an opinion.
Desrow : Major dick Major: ^ IMMVP: I just don't want any koreans winning past BoxeR and DRG
