Win/Do well:

1. MVP - Hasn't been doing as well in GSL lately, I'm excited to see him in the US for the first time (?) and I want him to turn it around.

2. iNcontrol - Even with all the EG hate recently, you still gotta love Geoff. Coming off casting NASL I think he'll be prepared for the tourney and I want him to put up a good showing.

3. Qxc - He'll parkour his way to victory.

Do badly:

1. MMA - I love him and I was so glad when he won last time, but I don't want him to win 2 straight. Give someone else a chance!

2. Major - He's really good but he's a douche.

3. Uh, can't think of anyone else.

players to succeed:

- DRG - This guy knows how to play zerg. None of the whining associated with zerg either.
- BoxeR - Always root for the Emperor, I hope for a top 8 finish at least.
- Torn on a 3rd.. if HuK is going, or maybe White-Ra or Sheth, who I think is the top US zerg.

players to fail:

- IdrA - He doesnt deserve to be in the top 32; No respect for whining idiots.
- Major - along the same lines of IdrA, hes an idiot
- Hard to think of a 3rd, I generally want all players to succeed if they are mannered, honest and dont whine about balance every single time they lose.. So outside of those two, I dunno who else is going who fits that category.. maybe someone like Avilo if somehow he conned a sponsor into sending his horrible ass lol.

Any ranking on tournaments should be based on skill imo, not if they whine.

Ever heard of Karma? What goes around comes around; so in that case, I think IdrA is finally getting his taste lately, with his poor results in the past ~4 months. Major wont win anything big anytime soon IMO either.

His results have been as good as they ever were. He hasn't ever won a tourney with any Koreans or Europeans in it, not really doing any worse than he was. (not counting beta)

Win:

Bandanaman: Boss. bandana. Killing stuff. All in a days work at HMC.
VPSuppy: Friend. Tear through that open bracket
LzGaMeR: Just switched to zerg, but has posted some results in WCG Qualifiers. Cool guy, lots of people are hating on him.
(xeris) Really awesome, but I don't think he has a snowballs chance in hell
Fail:

inKa: I+He may have his fans, but all in all I find him to be all in. And overrated >.>
Marinekingxpn: Have seen him on streams. I don't know, there was some off racing of a friend or something? Dunno, but whoever might have been borrowing his account was a douche >.>
Team RaTz: Seriously, don't know if I capitalized that correctly. I don't give a care.

Prove himself: Mr. Tylerman.

I want MMA or Boxer to get the Code S slot.

The post is a bit too much "I love FXO" and "I hate fanboys because they are retarded". Other than that the idea is nice.

To win:
- Destiny for being Destiny.
- Tyler, the foreign BoxeR!
- DRG, because he's awesome and he needs to be in code S next season together with Puzzle.

To lose:
- FXO; I generally dislike the way money is being thrown around. And they still can't show any notable results.
- Incontrol; hypocrite, naive, and oh god I hope he isn't gonna use the ingame chat again like he did against Losira.
- Koreans in open bracket (and MMA)

Both:
IdrA; playing with a proper mindset I want him to win it all. Throwing games like he did at Columbus he can gtfo right after pool play.
HSY - KMK - Hyomin - Yoona - Sojin | NesTea - DRG - Puzzle - Bomber - NANIWA

To win:

Idra- I want him to come back to dominion and win this thing. We all know he's good, but results haven't been too impressive lately. Hopefully the EG boot camp put him back in shape.

sixjax.Major- I love drama, and imagine the drama if Major gets enough points to make pool play next MLG.

TLO- He is probably my favorite personality in SC2. I don't think he'll do that great, but one can hope that he's defeated carpal tunnel.

To fail:

Sheth- Lots of people love him, but I don't (not as a person but as a player). He doesn't seem to have that drive to win and is overrated greatly.

Slush- Overrated and there are way better players who deserved a pool spot.

DRG- Only because I'm afraid he's going to win MLG undefeated, and that'd be really embarrassing.

To do well:

Destiny - I agree with the OP. I have been watching Destiny's stream for longer than SC2 has been released, and I can honestly say that his love of the game is very inspiring. He genuinely seems like he is having fun every time he plays, which gives me the feeling that he is just having the time of his life being a pro gamer. This makes him extremely likable to me.

Boxer - Need I say more? The Emperor winning an MLG would do great things for people's opinion of his skill level, and probably help shut up the haters claiming that he is no longer a skilled Starcraft player. Plus, SlayerS taking 1st place two MLGs in a row would be sweet!

Tyler - I've loved watching him play ever sense the beta started. Match that with his "chill" personality, and his vocal forum presence (see below), I can't help but root for the guy!

To Fail:

EG - Despite being a big fan of Idra, the shady goings on of EG recently have really put a bad taste in my mouth. I know that this is more because of the management than because of the players, but perhaps this will show the corporate suits at the top that you can't just buy success.

Major - He seems like a prick. Like, a real prick. Not in the likable "Idra" way where he BMs in games, but seems like hes a cool guy in general. Plus, i'm not a big fan of cheaters and liars. Due to recent events, I have to throw Major into this category.

Koreans - Not that I want them to fail, but I would love for at least 1-2 of the top 3 slots to go to foreigners this time around.

Succeed:

DRG - so he can get into code S and finally compete with the best.
Boxer - cause I'm a nostalgic... Realistically, I don't see him in the top 8.
WhiteRa - my favorite foreign player in both BW and SC2.

Fail:

Spanishiwa - way overrated - his fanboys think he's the fourth race or the redeemer of the zerg race...bah!
Major - because he's a jerk.
Thorzain - for some reason, I still think he's a bit overrated. Or maybe I just don't like him...

Hopes to Win:

IdrA - This is really just because I'm his #1 Fan. But he usually puts on good games, so the finals should be good unless they cheese him all of the games. IdrA also needs a #1st place because people keep calling him bad even though he is the most consistent player.

qxc - He plays a brilliant style, and I want him to get some accomplishments to maybe motivate him to switch to SC2 full time. When he was in the slump because of his college, it was really depressing.

Foreigners - I was trying to pick a specific player, but I couldn't. But all of the players I was trying to choose from were foreigners. I just hope foreigners do well. Not 100% top 16 or anything, but I want to see them show good games versus the Koreans and take some series off of some.

Hopes to Fail:

Koreans - I don't hope they just downright suck. I just don't want one to win 1st place. I want the foreigner/Korean ratio in the top 6 to be about 1:1. But if a foreigner wins 1st place, them I'm satisfied.

drewbie - I really want to see him out of pool play. I have not seen him do a single thing lately.

Sjow - Since everyone knows you just need to make him multi-task a little, he seems like a really easy opponent. IMO, it's pretty pathetic to be known for "low APM," in Starcraft, and because of that, I see him falling short in big tournaments in the future unless he gets rid of his Low APM.

Poor results? What poor results? I mean...unless getting 1st place is the only thing that isn't poor results.

It's so hard to pick 3, I want everyone to do well. I love MMA and BoxeR but I think I want a foreigner to win this MLG, so Ill go with:

iNcontroL - I really hope his practice time has paid off since he quit casting, and maybe we can see some really great things from him.

Strelok - I've always thought Strelok was one of the most underrated players in the world; he has a great style and great preparation. Plus, I love cheering for players coming from the open bracket.

WhiteRa - He's WhiteRa.

To fail:

Major and Destiny, not gonna talk a lot about it.

MVP - Opposite of Strelok, the most overrated player in the world. He could go out in round 1 of every GSL for the next year, and people would still call him the best player in the world as long as he has one good finish. I really hope MMA and DRG own him up in this tournament.

to win: dongraegu - he's just a monster of a zerg, and I hope he can get his code S spot here by going on a rampage and mauling everyone (at SC2)

Idra - It's about time Idra got another championship under his belt! He's just an awesome player.

Boxer- cmon its boxer!

to lose: destiny - its destiny... he's in my opinion THE most overrated player in all of SC2, and very BM and annoying to boot.

major - the guys a complete asshole, to put it bluntly.
