This is good news, anything that bridges the Korea/foreigner divide is great for SC2.

although Oz must feel a little silly, going from fOU to FXO, then to both at once XD

Actually I think that perhaps (speculation) it was BECAUSE of Oz that FXO and fOu hit it off. Without Oz introducing the two teams to each other and acting as a bridge, would the two teams have gotten along so well? Maybe, but also maybe not. This is definitely a win for all parties involved.

It's very likely that that due to Oz, the relationship started. Choya helped out so much that BoSs was willing to send him to MLG (to get a shot back into Code S/A; experience a foreign tournament). This opened up the relationship for this purchase to happen. The Koreans probably aren't too up front about having issues, so that relationship being there likely made the discussion possible.

Awesome!

I like that Boss and Unstable are active in the threads regarding FXO, please don't drive them away with nonsense accusations and stupid shit-flinging.

@Boss Don't mind the vocal minority!

Good luck to the whole of FXO, I will be cheering for you on all continents!

I just see this as an attempt for FXO to actually make a name for themselves, and is evident of their lack of results in korea

Oh well, congrats it's just a subliminal message that their foreigner team is bad

Idiot, I don't think this is what it means at all. They've shown commitment to their non-KR team. Putting them in Korea, getting them first hand experience what it takes, setting up a team house. Now they have a KR team and that improves their talent pool, gives them access to top class practice partners and they are in on any of the meta game shifts right away.

They only do that because FXOBoss has so much money to blow away and it makes a good name for FXO as a sponsor, please have insight into this a little bit more, thankyou.

FXO made a move to get better, obviously this was just some subliminal face slap to their players. Herp Derp! I guess every acquisition a team makes from here on out is a subliminal message their current players are bad.

You're a cornucopia of insightful knowledge.

Good move by FXO. It's a really smart move.

I agree with this completely.

Thank you for the 7 clarifications. I am as exited as you are about this, and the foreigner players will benefit from this a lot

Wow crazy news! FXO is investing so much in e-sports lol. This will mean really good things for the foreign FXO team as they will be able to train in-house with the korean team!

From what I have read there is only talk about e-sports becoming truly global..... But my Korean is not so good.

Nice to see some cooperation between two teams to further the interests of eSports and give foreigners a more solid footing in Korea. Can't wait to see where they go from here

We should all donate money to Team Liquid so that maybe they can buy IM or something lol

On a more serious note, let's hope this decision by BoSS lead to more opportunity to send foreign players to korean to train.
relax bro we got this

the more i think about it, the more i like the decision made by the FXO. it's only a matter of time until SC2 becomes professionalized and when that happens, look out! FXO is going to be the only foreign team participating in the SC2 proleague and will be featured on MBCGames, OnGameNet...etc as well as having a great opportunity to own popular SC2 players (the future likes of Flash, jaedong...etc). What better way to grow your comany in Korea than having these type of players representing your logo?

The only thing that sucks is that Fou is going to have to give up its team jerseys and apparel, their new jerseys and their jackets are really nice.

I hope FXO comes out with some nice looking Jackets/ jerseys soon the FXO ones arent going to cut it for the korean team IMO

I hope its something they are looking into.

Not that i dont like the current fxo jerseys, but right now most teams in the GSL have multiple jerseys jackets , even pants sometimes. So i hope its something FXO is considering.

what? really? how is fashion in any way shape or form an important part or aspect of anything in the esports scene ??? why should anyone care about fashion?

as far as im concered, fashion means zero to me.... they could all play naked for all i care

and if fashion is important to you, thank god its the 100% easiest thing to fix. all they need to do is design something that "people find fashionable" and it will be fixed.... i guess??

fashion is really all about opinion anyway

Well seems like they care about it as im pretty sure they took my advice(or were thinking about it already) and are now in the process of designing new shirts jackets track pants.

So clearly its important to them ,and i think its important for a team to look good.
