He said that playing in wsop has been his dream and blablabla. I don't get it either, but thats what they said.

I've been watching http://www.wsop.com/tournaments/results.asp?grid=821&tid=11497&dayof=2059 for his name. He's not there yet, so still in (and a couple positions short of the 40k level).

The experience? I'd love to play in the Main Event someday if I had $10,000 to throw away.

Oh wow, arguably the two best known pros remaining in the tournament on the featured table (Cunningham, Kid Poker)...

They're only updating notable players/featured tables. Kiwi started the day at 260,000 and they haven't updated his chip count at all. But he's not on the list of payouts, so he's still in it, we have no idea about his stack size though.

Thats actually good way to check if he still is in the tournament. Forgot all about the result tab. Thanks!

Zero risk and just have a weekend of playing poker.
to be honest, theres almost no reason to lol, even selling like 90-95% COULD have a reason but 100% not really unless you just want to play?

How much of poker would you guys say is luck?
The US considers it "gambling", yet someone has won this championship two times, so obviously SKILL is the contributing factor here. But isn't luck of the draw a small part of it as well, similar to Starcraft where you might scout properly yet skill miss something important due to bad luck?
Would you say it's 95% skill 5% luck, or is luck more important?

The site updates but they aren't updating everyones count. Especially someone like Kiwikaki who they only FINALLY added after 4 fucking full days.
That was his starting chip count, I'll bet you that they just haven't touched his chipcount all day.

Long run poker is 99% skill. One tournament is 99% luck.

i dont play poker but luck seems to be like 30% of the game, way more than SC for sure

I'll repeat Day9's joke about this: "You don't go in for the final attack against your opponent to see they suddenly have a dozen broodlords and all you can say is 'That's Starcraft!' ¯\_(ツ)_/¯"

wow, that featured table is pretty packed now. kiwi can be happy that he doesnt have to play there

Sick featured table right now. Daniel ranting about the new rule is entertaining.

Oh definitely, but it's fun to watch him constantly rant to the whole table.

Would you say it's 95% skill 5% luck, or is luck more important? It's a game of statistics, like Mahjong (which I play). Meaning, as others stated, over a long turn (several thousand games) players with skill will have better stats than players without. A short-term torunament such as this is mainly luck (reading people, bluffing etc. only gets you so far).

Kiwikaki got himself at least $40.000 now
