Then technically the 10k buy-in doesn't count for payment? Or he covers buy-in then gives 20+30% of what's left?

Either way, Kiwikaki put in about 50% of the entry fee, and will take home about 50% of his winnings. blah blah. And guys, I know everyones all hyped up about poker now but just be responsbile about it and make sure to sign up for liquid poker rakeback programs before touching your accounts and all that jazz. And I highly suggest people do their research before just throwing themselves in there lol. I've never been a fan of people in these threads talking about how much money some people have made or what not in poker, but Fayth has been playing online for several years and is known as a strong player, as well as staker, so you make the connections.

If I was going to help someone buy-in and they cashed out significantly, I would want a small percentage/interest on the side too. Think about it like a business and how much you invest to get how much shares do you get from it.

I would rather want to get 100 percent of the winnings.

A lot of pros do this to lower their variance since tournaments are so high-variance, and you can walk away without any big cashes for a long period of time. Personally though, I'm with you, all or nothing.

If you have 10 players all of the same skill level and mindset entering together then its just split more evenly and lowers the variance of a bad beat.
