Also, you should try to label it better on TL when you are streaming, like IPL 2 WR/WB Day x and IPL 2 LR/LB Day x / IPL WB Day 2 EU Recast for example. And always try to be in the ON AIR: section as opposed to the Live user streams section.

Suggestions Painuser needs to look into the camera, any good caster does this a lot Maybe a bit of a dress-code, casual-formal seems to work best

Soundproof the casting area, it's not like I'm there to listen to the "sounds of San Fran" mixtape. Although the casters do a wonderful job of masking it with jokes etc.

I believe they have repeatedly said they are doing it in stages so they do it right. Season 1 was NA only. Season 2 is NA and EU. Season 3 is all regions

I disagree, not that I'm against seeing Koreans play. But I already have MLG, GSL, NASL, ICCUP.tv. I like having a predominantly NA/EU scene. It becomes especially stale if there is only a couple of Koreans in it and they just dominate everyone else. I like a little variety. Yes, everyone needs to pick up their game to compete with Korean level. But the infrastructure is only beginning to show up outside of Korea. And even if every team had a house, practice 10hrs a day, etcetera, we're still probably 1-2yrs before matching them.

Then the hype of the IPL seems very low. With the NASL, I was only hyped during the finals but during the season the hype wasn't really needed. You can always tune in when you want and get to see good players like the koreans playing when you have time. Since the IPL doesn't have the skill pool of other tournaments, they need some sort of hype. I'm just not feeling it, no one really talks a lot about IPL. None of the podcasts and shows like State of the Game ever mentions it at all. You lose a lot of excitement also when everything done in the IPL is NOT LIVE. As far as I know, the tournament has been finished already? It's missing some sort of x-factor to make fans excited about this league. If you know the talent pool is not as good, there has to be something different that makes the league stand out. To me it's sort of like watching a youtube cast but with higher production. I saw code A qualifiers pull in equal number of viewers as IPL. You start to forget the IPL has a large prize pool and the qualifiers are just a qualifier. Even if people don't enjoy Korean domination, allowing them in the tournament allows fans to see how foreigners compare and creates a situation where fans are excited to see a goliath versus david situation.

So, Monday and Wednesday are IPL TV. There are roughly two hours of new, live casts of viewer submitted and pro replays, before we begin airing content that you may have seen before either from previous IPL TV shows or IPL 2 Main Event games. Tuesdays are IPL Team Arena, which is our winner's style king of the hill weekly team showmatch. Those games are cast live until they are completed, then re-aired content. Thursday through Sunday, again starting at 00:00 GMT (+00:00), are main event games and the calendar has always been available at http://www.ign.com/ipl/starcraft2/calendar =) Hope this clears things up!

You HAVE to get yourselves listed in the "ON AIR" section and NOT in the "Live user streams". If this is only an issue for the EU restream I'm sorry, but that's when I notice it ![]() I - as probably many - don't keep track of schedules and just visit TL to see what's up. So I've missed this many times because I just took a quick glimpse into the "ON AIR" section. I know, it's to a large extent my fault to not looking the event up, but getting the cast listed properly shouldn't be a big deal, no?

Yes, we're sorry for this yesterday, this was the only time the EU broadcast did not get its event properly listed, the rest of the time we've been under the On Air section. ![]()

I would say I like the steam punk theme of the IPL as well as season 1's comic book style. Having a specific theme to the overlay and vids adds more character to the tournament, which I definitely appreciate. Compare that to the GSL which, despite their high budget, uses a nauseating "EXTREME!!" high octane design with atrocious rock ballad music which I absolutely despise. It really feels like your overlays are fun and slightly tongue in cheek, which provides a nice flavor compared to the all of other Tourneys which go for a super professional look and wind up feeling a bit sterile at times. Web site design - It would have helped to make the Season 2 IPL site Steam punk themed like the game overlay in order to provide some visual cohesion. As of now the steam punk theme clashes with the IPL's modern style site design. Neither one's bad mind you, but the lack of a unified aesthetic theme hurts both. Interviews - They're some of the better interviews I've seen. I like that you use guys who know the game to conduct interviews and I actually find hosting it in that bar/club locale to be pleasant and more laid back. Something about the atmosphere feels more natural than those awkward interviews in cushy chairs on a tv show style stage or the ones right after a player's finished a Best of set. PS CatsPajamas has done a great job BUT he needs to ditch the chin puff. Chin puffs are foul nasty things, keep the facial hair trimmed short and neat.

- Too dragged out, why couldn't you broadcast it in 2 weeks or something? No need to drag it out, all the weird filler days are just confusing imo. - Why so much lag time? I know you want to have good production but a whole month is pretty much, all games even uses the same template so I can't imagine why 2 days or something wouldn't be enough :s Honestly I think it could have been live as well without major problems. - No Koreans. Seriously.

definitely needs way more hype. seems pretty lackluster in terms of prestige. i see alot of outdated builds/talks, quite the turn off given the pace of the metagame shifts atm.

For some viewers it's extremely intolerable to watch games you know happened several weeks ago, your trying to present it more like a 'sport' almost UFC like, well the truth is unlike sport fans, most gaming fans also PLAY the game and watch these matches to learn the metagame and not just be entertained, it's not exactly fun to watch players lose to strategies that have already been figured out. -Some of the casting is borderline fake The casting is fairly top notch, but I cringe when I hear some of the IPL in house casters grossly exaggerate advantages just to claim a comeback when it really wasn't, turns me off. -Very hard to follow Due to the length its hard to tell when certain matches are happening and what have already taken place because sometimes IPL tv is broadcasted right after the IPL happens and you don't know if your watching tournament matches or random replays even though its being broadcast under IPL Day X on the Teamliquid side bar. -Live report threads not having updated results Sometimes the results arn't updated in the Live Report thread, I'm pretty sure its against the rules to open a Live Report thread if your not going to keep it updated. JOSHY! Also the steampunk thing is atrocious but that's just an opinion ![]()
