How did you conclude that most females are stupid by reading that? All that says is that research suggests that the standard deviation in intelligence is higher in males than in females.

There's been a lot of messages in the news that female students at the university actually do better in general than the male students. That reinforces his post. You might find that the smartest people are mostly males. Then the people who do generally well are females. Then the dumbest people are males again.

I'd say not that there are more smart men but there are fewer known smart women, which really comes down to old misogyny, nowadays things are equalizing(which is great) but there are still old stigmas in alot of cultures.
Personally I'd love to see more serious girls in the progamer scene, not just ones that play off the fact that they're girls(and maybe pretty) to gain publicity.
I think part of the reason we don't see as many progamer girls stems from a usually lower amount of testosterone leading to a lowered sense of competitiveness. Now, I'm not saying girls can't be competitive, just that they feel less inclined to do so.

Actually, the most revealing findings in social studies have been how context sensitive gender-based testing is.
For example, when testers have been told that males usually do really well in the particular test they are about to take, male testers do better and female testers do worse. And vice versa, if f.ex. the testers are told beforehand that female students statistically do better in the particular 'intelligence test' they take, they do better than the males. The discrepancy increases based on the context.
