Probably doesn't directly affect them but it will probably create a great atmosphere. Huk tweeted a couple of days ago that he was eating a lot of chicken sandwiches from Mom's Touch. Lucky for Huk and Jinro ![]()

Will it be on an individual basis popularity and performance basis, or tier basis (Code S, Code A, Code B)? Is the manager or sponsor the one who decides who gets paid what? As far as I know oGs, like most teams in Korea do not provide wages. But all the players get free housing, PC, food and other necessities. Also oGs.Chicken fighting!

Much thanks to Phosgene for the awesome translation. + Show Spoiler + Soon, we will be witness to the ‘chicken derby’ in the upcoming GSLs. On June 22th, SC2’s progaming team oGs had an informal get-together with HaeMaRo Food Service company at the Seoul Jamsil Olympic Parktel. HaeMaRo Food Service is the larger company that runs the chain food store “Mom’s Touch.” HaeMaRo Food Service revealed their plans to use eSport and by sponsoring their representative oGs, to increase awareness and appeal of the “Mom’s Touch” brand to their main demographic ranging from 10 to 30 year olds. “Mom’s Touch” already has over 200 franchises around the nation and their main menu items revolve around chicken and hamburgers. After the ceremony, oGs’s representatives said a short message saying “We want to thank Mom’s Touch for choosing to sponsor our team, we hope to move forward together in cooperation and hope that we can be of help for the company.” Now “Mom’s Touch” which sponsors oGs is being seen as a rival to PRIME’s sponsor “Sabasaba Chicken”. So, we will be witness to the “chicken derby” between oGs and PRIME in the future. The following is the short interview with oGs’s Hwang Gyu Hoon about the agreement. - How much was the sponsorship worth? We are contracted for a sponsorship length of 1 year. I don’t want to reveal the specifics of the agreement, but it is just short of 200 million won. - Do you have any specific activities planned (to promote this sponsorship)? We plan to promote the franchise through our players. It may be through ceremonies in between matches, or through various other planned events and maybe by participating in other offline events as well. We also plan to market using social networking. We plan to use all our resources so that we can both benefit from this experience. - The details of the sponsorship? It includes both cash and gifts. There are provisions for both coupons (for food) and travel expenses, and overall the ratio of money to these perks is about 2:1. - Do you think you will now be considered rivals to PRIME whose primary sponsor is “Sabasaba chicken”? Mom’s Touch’s representatives are well aware of Sabasaba chicken. I think future matches with PRIME will have very fun outcomes. - Can we call that the “chicken derby”? oGs is always a fan of anything that the fans can have fun with, so if that’s what they want, they can call it that. - Does the sponsorship have provisions for extensions? We do plan to have talks for extensions once this sponsorship period is over. ESH will work hard to get sponsorships for not just oGs but also other teams as well so that they can all be in a secure position. - Does EHS deal with both oGs and TeamLiquid? Yes, they have a memorandum of understand (MOU) signed with TeamLiquid. oGs also has a similar contract with them. - The background to how this contract went down? ESH managers and Mom’s Touch’s representatives have known each other for quite a while and these talks started since the target audience for eSports and Mom’s Touch happen to be similar.
