Seems a bit strange that they rotate sponsorship. it's how it was/is in BW, i mean, if you were running a company advertising bid, wouldn't you want to get it on something that reaches massive audiences of rabid fans?

Don't know if that means anything, but maybe Coca Cola is done with it? I guess they felt excluded, personally I don't drink that much sodas in favour of my teeth but I imagine a whole bunch of nerds like the sc2 community consumes a small ocean a day so they are right on their targeting. As always --> >Sponsors ---> >Better.

Edit: Also already posted http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=238135 Coke has been a sponsor on previous seasons of GSL, they just weren't the title/main sponsor. There were a few seasons where Coke cans littered every booth/desk on the broadcast.

Note : One of the first SC BW Starleagues was sponsored by Coca-Cola (the 2001 Coca-Cola OGN Starleague) and now the first SC2 Strarleague (i mean the GSL as a whole) is going to be sponsored by... Pepsi ! I find it kinda funny.

I'm cool with Pepsi or Coke. Don't see why I have to favour one over the other. I find Pepsi to have more of a sweet taste, whereas Coke is a little more bitter.

Coca-Cola just has a much deeper flavor, more nuances to it, and it isn't just a bunch of sugar to cover up the lack of any flavor. I loved when Coke sponsored the GSL. The best is when you put a can in the freezer for 1 hour, so it's like a carbonated slushy. Then you put it in one of those freezie cups with a water layer, which freezes it more. I can't believe how many people think Pepsi taste better or is the same :O

Otherwise we wouldn't be able to say that Nada got 3 MSL gold kekeke Anyway, I'm not surprised at all to see mainstream brands sponsoring e-sports event. As you mentioned it started long time with the Coca-Cola OSL, and then we've had Pepsi, Snickers, Gillette, Pringles (x2), Olympus, and I probably forget some of them.

If you've ever tasted cocaine, you can actually taste the flavor in Coca-Cola. -Coca Cola not using coca leafs for many years -I tasted cocain many times and u CANT actually tast the flavor in Coca-Cola (or I cant)

Sports leagues change sponsors all the time... seems like you're spewing nonsense. Also there's a difference between the sponsorship Coca-Cola provided and the sponsorship Pepsi is providing. Coca-Cola, Razer etc are minor sponsors where they just give free products like drinks, headsets etc. Pepsi is in a similar position sponsorship-wise to the way LG was for the last few GSL's, much much more involvement then just free drinks.
