This group, 'The Four Horseman' (not to be confused with the rock group they speak about under the 'about' button on their youtube page) do remixes mostly, but there is zero information about them on the internet.

Song above is 100% a corking banger. The other songs they have made, whilst being competent are stale in comparison imo. They have the comments turned off on youtube and their music has been provided to youtube by Tunecore.

My question is; what is the vocal line sampled from?

I've been casually keeping an eye on the 2020 GSL seasons and beyond for music. Been making this one playlist, but just discovered this thread exists so I'll probably comb through it at my own pace. The Four Horsemen YT topic has a new album, which seems to be a lot of the GSL remixes that Shazaam couldn't find. I wonder if thsi group is related to the GSL at all...not on Spotify yet though

Pretty sure there are multiple accounts on Spotify keeping track and updating their GSL playlist, just go through the search function and you'll find them all. Even I used to have one but removed it a while back as I stopped listening to it.

That doesn't always work I'm afraid. It will reveal the owner of the copyright, which is not necessarily the artist. I can give you one example, I made a SC2 parody on Nazareth's version of "Love Hurts" and got this composition copyright claim: LatinAutorPerf, LatinAutor - SonyATV, UNIAO BRASILEIRA DE EDITORAS DE MUSICA - UBEM

I was happy to get the copyright claim though, tool it as a seal of quality

I'm going to use an old strategy. I've uploaded the snippet to to youtube and I'll hope that their copyright detection algorithms will trigger and give us the answer (it's worked a few times before; but sometimes it takes years - I kid you not).
