Can't believe this news has been up all day and nobody has written about it here... #_#
Strelok left Mouz and joins a new team -- imba, which consists of some pretty solid Eastern European players (LoWeLy, etc).
This is pretty big news IMO! Unfortunately, I tried to recruit him for Fnatic, but the imba team has too much money (they're sponsored by FXO)! Really happy for Strelok though because he deserves all the money he's going to get. Amazing player, really professional, and hope he's super successful at imba.
Sucks for mouz, losing such a strong player, but Thorzain should be good for them
DISCUSS~~
*PS: my random theory: while imba.FXO is not the same as the FXO team, I feel like this move will eventually put Strelok in the FXO team! JUST YOU WAIT

mistakes were made....
Cool deal though, watching Moonglade vs Strelok now ^^
|
It's always nice to see a new strong team emerge. GL to imba and Strelok!
|
Yeah, it's surprising that Strelok would leave given that he's had such a long history with mouz.

imba.FXO is not the same as FXO, therefore has nothing to do with deL or Moonglade. It's a different set of management of FXOpen if I understand correctly (their eastern european division).
Someone can correct me if I'm wrong though~~

Cool deal though, watching Moonglade vs Strelok now ^^ I believe Del stated that FXO and imba are two independent teams, just the same sponsor.

What I would give to have strelok's english accent...
edit: lol that makes like no sense why imba and fxo are separate @_@!
|
That really sucks for mouz. Strelok is a beast.

You're correct. Here is the team website: http://www.imbalance.ru/

Maybe because of his statement on mousesports:
Statement from Strelok: "It's very sad to leave mouz, but I needed a new challenge, new opportunities and imba.FXOpen is the team which is able to give all that. Thanks to all managers and players with which I was in mouz, I am sure we will keep good relations. Good luck to mousesports!"

In addition the news said he is also interested to do management and coaching for his new team.

Very interesting. Mouz just picked up Thorzain though, so there not screwed thankfully
|
Yea, I think Strelok is trying to position himself to be a manager/coach in the near future if/when his gaming career finishes (he's fairly old!)

Oh god yes, I've always liked Strelok since bw, but hearing him speak made me a true fan!

Was just looking at the mouz lineup on their site and saw that strelok wasn't there, though it was mistake, then read this and was like T_T
|
Definitely a good pickup by imba, mouz is still a strong team though.

so fxo sponsors two teams? why not just sponsor one super team
