Thanks a ton to Hashbaz and Frosthaze for your work. This really makes my walks to work and gym sessions so much more enjoyable as I get to listen to ITG on my phone. Much appreciated.

It actually rubs me the wrong way that DJWheat and Incontrol (who check the thread) do not really mention your work. It's not hard to add 2 names to their list of thank-you's for this contribution.

actually djwheat DID mention his work.

It really rubs me the wrong way when people are dumb and say things without actually checking / knowing and then get pissy about it.

My apologies if it was mentioned in the last show, still downloading it. No way I could know. Did check the thread, though. Wouldn't it be nice if instead of calling names, we just said thank you to these guys?

I agree. Wouldn't it be nice if instead of hassling djwheat and myself for things we are doing and you just don't know you instead were thankful for the work we do?

But I am thankful for both you and DJWheat ^^ Sent you PM's and posted here for all the great work you do. I listen to ITG every week and I'm really happy you do all the work. Thank you.

I really love the show, but afaik, hashbaz doesn't get any profit out of this, you guys are sponsored (I don't know in what degree, if it covers every cost or no), but I do think, it's, well, different.

I am not in any way defending that post though, judging before listening is not the way to go. Also, stay away from drugs and go to school.

Hear, hear. Wise words. I was definitely wrong on this issue, and apologize.

I guess I'm lost on why hate LastShadow at this point. He's a dick, so what? If Ostojiy's okay with no tournament results, then so is LastShadow. You can make a case about his past all you want...I don't care. If someone's a dick, so be it, Idra's one of my favorite players. I'm watching for the games, and occasional trash talk is welcome. Someone being a prick is part of a scene.

As for his skipping a final series: even if he won, he's not going on guys, be real. Many players have said they forfeit games that don't matter. Make the case that he should have stayed, it's probably true, he should have...But could you have? I couldn't. If I took shit from tens of thousands of people all the way up to the tournament, my first big tournament, major community figures calling me out, saying I'm only there cause I'm someone's friend, about how I didn't belong...How I wasn't supposed to be there, how I was trash...And then go 0-4 in a fucking group that iNcontrol, idra, almost every player couldn't get out of, nevermind take a game off...I'd be fucking crushed and embarrassed. I'd probably disappear.

I think the argument, and it's a good one, is that Ostojiy makes an effort to appear in tournaments, while LastShadow is aggressively dismissive of the foreign scene and makes no attempt to qualify for events. So Ostojiy is an acceptable risk - up-and-coming ladder hero, on a team, trying to post some LAN results - while LastShadow isn't.

Are we really interested in making "on a team" be a legitimate reason for qualifying for something? You say Ostojiy, who I am in no way undermining, keep that in mind, I think he had a reason to be there as did LS, but you say Ostojiy who is decent on ladder, who is trying to post some results is fine...But LS who lives in Korea, and is also decent on ladder is not? Based solely on the fact that he's a prick?

He was invited because he's Day9s friend. Not because he has any results anywhere, or is in fact welcome anywhere.

That is the problem, not "is being a prick so bad????"

On a different note, Incontrol, I thought that the guy who called in to ask about an armour upgrade for hatcheries had a decent question. He might not have expressed himself very well, but I think what he meant was : "I think marines can snipe hatcheries way too quickly from a drop, what do you guys think about that? Would a building armour upgrade, maybe only available on Hive tech, possibly help lategame Zerg keep their hatches alive a little bit longer against a dropping Terran?"

Maybe you should inform yourself about LastShadow before even trying to make a point. LastShadow shouldn't have been there and the only reason he was there was because Day9 got him a spot and paid for his flight.

Loving the show, and love the work Hashbaz and Frosthaze are doing. Would be nice to see their work credited in the OP to stop all the discussion about it.

Anyhoo, keep it up everyone involved!

Ostojiy has been to tournaments, he has done well in teamleagues AFAIK, and he lives in the USA so the flight isn't as expensive. There would of been better unknown (sort of) players to pick from USA & EU.

As Wheat said, he was not under the impression they were friends. Simply because iNcontrol said that is it accepted as truth. Is there something I'm missing that shows they have any relationship, aside from a few dailies?

What's there to inform? I've probably read more than most on it, but, admittedly, I don't have any inside information, never met the guy. He says outrageous things...so do others. And? I mean, he's in Korea, he's decent, and he's another underdog in the tournament.

I love how everyone's picking and choosing their information. Wheat says he was "Under the impression" Day9 paid for it. WHich everyone accepts instantly. He also says he was not under the impression they were friends. Everyone discards.

You know back in episode 8 or so this show was about actual game... There was discussions how to deal with certain builds or playstyles, choosing build orders for people who want to improve, etc...

Now it's like:
DJWheat: last weekend we had pleasure to see MLG Arena, what do you have to say about it guys?
IdrA: i didnt see any games, but those who won was strongest players in the tournament....
iNcontroL: stellar performance by viOlet, the player who was code s, however he was declined in korean scene, viOlet then come up to USA, Texas (with help from CSN) and become amazing player he is now. Symbol did well, Stephano as well, etc, etc.
DJWheat: Goody beat MMA, what do you guys think about that?
IdrA: wtf...
iNcontroL: amazing performance he show why he is still feared person in Europe scene.
PainUser: he played better than MMA so he deserved the win.
--------users questions-------

or:
DJWheat: so now we move on to RedBull Battlegrounds, iNcontroL any comments?
iNcontroL: stellar performance by MC, he showed that he is still code s caliber player, even though most of the players has their up&downs, MC is always on the top and he just showed us that. Bomber did very well, Stephano dominated couple protoss. SaSe won his group, etc, etc
IdrA: i didnt see any games, but those who won was strongest players in the tournament....
PainUser,: DRAMA ABOUT lastshadow
DJWheat: DRAMA ABOUT lastshadow
IdrA: DRAMA ABOUT lastshadow
iNcontrol: DRAMA ABOUT lastshadow
PainUser: DRAMA ABOUT lastshadow
IdrA: DRAMA ABOUT lastshadow
DJWheat: DRAMA ABOUT lastshadow
iNcontrol: DRAMA ABOUT lastshadow
--------------user questions----------------------

Probabbly I won't sound like a standard starcraft2 fan, but solo reason why I watched(and still watch hoping) this show was those small talks about actual game. I even was thinking that in the future you will have some video content, replay analysis or stuff like that.

Wheat is not a Broodwar guy so of course he would not know, and I guess neither do you. That's fine. The story is old and not worth bringing up in my opinion, and all relevant quotes/posts are probably buried somewhere in TLs/GGs archives.

Saying Ostojiy is from the USA is like saying Dimaga is from Sweden. Or Stephano from Germany.

He's from Canada guys, get it right!
