I agree Sueco, Dreamhack and TSL imo have better production value and free, even GSL has great a production as it has only costs 15 dollars a season, 5 for the team league. 25 dollars seems a bit much for their first season. They should have it free or low cost early on to gain viewership, then ramp up prices for later seasons once all their bugs are worked out.

You know that part in The Social Network when people around the creator keep wanting to monetize facebook and thus kill it before it has reached its true potential? Zuckenberg tells them to gtfo and thus turns fbook into a massive phenomenon worth billions instead of the small change the money-men wanted.

Whoever is organizing the NASL didn't pay attention to that part.

GSL costs $10 and TSL is free, i wish I could watch some of these games, but the price is too high. We complained back when GSL wanted to charge $40 and they lowered it. I think NASL should consider the same thing for next season.

For real, what kind of organization doesn't take their business model from movies? Sueco, maybe you should contact them and give them some financial advice. It sounds like you really know what you're talking about and obviously they could use help from someone as astute as yourself.

What you guys hating on Swueco for? If you read between the lines like you should it makes perfect sense what he says. It's more important to start and keep the user experience as the most important part and then expand on it later when you already have been established and have support, you have made your customers dependent on your product. Than to balance it from the get go, cutting into the user experience and weakening your foundation and long term growth. That's what he was aiming at anyway and you see this everywhere, look at the spotify thread from yesterday, they are doing exactly what he's talking about.
You can disagree but don't take it out on his analogy with the movie. Albeit possibly harsh, it's not flawed, don't ad hominem.

And I will make a lot of use of the VOD thread, for some reason I just really enjoy using the forums and user compiled information. It works well and feels nice to use.

It would be cool to have polls (in spoilers) for each match so that people can vote if they recommend the series or not. I know some live reports threads have this and I think it would be a nice addition to this one as well. Maybe these polls can be imported or copied from the LR thread?

Motbob has considered that and doesn't think that's a good system for choosing good games. Go and read the first page:

Also does anyone know if u can load the vods in lower quality than is offfered as my internet coneection is pretty bad atm and it is taking me a year and a day to actually get them to load.
