The left has little, if any sound coming out of it. As soon as the music ends, the sound becomes perfect again. I have this sound issue during the game commentary, it's very annoying.

Last night I watched the NASL broadcast for the first time since week one, hoping to see improvement. To be honest I was a bit disappointed about the casting quality, I am sorry! Gretorp and Incontrol just lack the exicement, their voices never raise in that exciting way we love so much and we want to hear to get excited ourselves. Also all the "fun" and jokes they make are not so funny to me , never had to laugh the whole broadcast. I am not saying its all bad but me, personally, I think the casting needs so much improvement. Why not get 1 cocaster for every broadcast, e.g gretorp +x next day incontrol +y. Would be much more exciting in my opinion.
I wish you guys all the best!

Try spelling "Closing" correctly.
It's not "Closeing".....

Liked the top 10 a lot, I hope that is a weekly segment.

Tell the community when games have not been played. For example todays Boxer vs Socke. Really annoying to be waiting and then suddenly be informed the match wasn't played. I know it's done so that they get more ad revenue from the people waiting. I will not watch for a week now to make that up.

Maybe picture in picture for those multi-drops. (It's not live so this is possible with editing, not easy though)
Obviously replace Gretorp. He makes conversations.. retarded and awkward at the same time. That takes skill to do, but not the right skill set for casting.
Stop the horrible horrible choice of music once someone wins. It's really really bad. I'd rather there be no music than that horrible fake metal made from someones basement.
More guest casters. They're always welcome. It's a nice change of pace.

I think it should air monday to friday.. not wednesday to sunday.. that is a weird schedule
it is good that you are airing at the same time every night because it helps for fitting into my schedule and planning would require minimal thought
My weekday schedule is much different than my weekend schedule
I am free in the evening on week days I am not free in the evening on weekends
I bet your attendance drops on sat/sunday as well?
Perhaps just stream monday to friday with the matches as they first air, and then u can restream the entire event on saturday and sunday for 12 hours each day or something. stagger the time slots so different people can watch.. you'll get more ad revenue, or encourage more premium accounts (star the show at 12:00pm on saturday, and at 12:00am on sunday?

Please offer lower quality vods. I would actually like to be able to stream them.

Why don't you think he is serious? He has a valid point that it is annoying to have to wait for that game, and then find out it won't be played. When I was reading the LR thread, many people were pissed because they stayed up just to watch that match and were disappointed to find out right before it was about to happen that there was a walkover.

Usually viewrship is higher on weekends from what I have paid attention to. Perhaps us in the Asian timezones make up for all you busy Canadians.
And they can't really change the schedule for this season at least since the games are played a couple of days in advance so they would have to scedule games to be played on the weekend tobe broadcast on Monday/Tuesday and since alot of other tournaments happen on the weekend this would only cause even more schedule conflicts. Maybe next season they could do them a week in advance.

I stayed up until 4AM to see two of my favourite players battle, only to find out that it was a walkover. I almost smashed my keyboard and threw my monitor out of the window. If i remember correctly, during the pre-show incontrol even said things like "tonight we have Boxer VS socke, thats going to be interesting! i think alot of people are excited about that matchup". Thats fucking cheap when you know the series is going to be a walkover. You dont wait until the last damn minute till you announce such things just to make more money from adds.

now that'd take a lot of upper body strength. I agree, though. A lot of nights are mostly mirrors and then THE FEATURE match of the evening, something like a boxer vs socke or any other non-mirror with a very good korean vs a very good european, something like that. Most nights I will watch just to catch that one match so I can understand the frustrations.

That's pretty serious. lol
Can we get an official announcement about PainUser playing in the NASL since LG has disbanded? I think it would be nice to see some sort of policy in action -- basically the current precedent is that you only have to be a team at the beginning of the season?

I forgot how the NASL format works exactly, but I know it's top 2 from each group, then a playoffs. I'm not sure where it is on your website, but I found the format on another website. Maybe post it up (assuming I'm not blind and just missed it), so it's clear what these games are building up to.
Kudos to TB, when he was casting the top10 plays of the week. Although he's not an expert, he does a good job of presenting the game with natural sounding enthusiasm. Personally, I'm not always looking to listen to a lecture on SC2, and enjoy having TB commentate. I know some of hardcore SC/BW students may disagree, but having noob-friendly commentary is nice.

hey guys inc here on anna's account,
please step outside yourself for a second.
When a w/o occurs we give those players THAT DAY to play the match. So for filming purposes we talk about the match during the pregame show which is filmed at the start of the day. We then give the players the entire day (virtually) to play the match. So until time runs out we talk about it possibly happening if it is possible... then we go "sorry, they couldn't do it!"
Also, we are at the mercy of said players. In a few cases we've had matches perfectly fine then an hour before or w/e someone will be like "oh sup, can't make it.. re LOLOLOL?"
ALSOOOOOOOO we have a staff and a studio... and a time crunch for each show. It isn't realistic to expect us to hop back in the studio and edit around the mishaps of a few players given our schedule. Is it perfect? Nope. But if we are to do things less than good I would rather we do it so that players have more of a chance to play than spectators know more ahead of time who is / isn't playing.

I like Gretorp a lot. He knows the game very well. However, I don't think he is a casters. He has a lot of good qualities a caster must have. But he lacks a very important one: he isn't articulated. He has trouble expressing his thoughts clearly and often he struggles to find the right words . Think of all the good casters you know. All of them are quite articulated. The problem is that if you are not articulated, you casting won't have a nice flow to it, and that is really bad. Sadly enough, lack of articulation can rarely be improved upon. Having said that, my suggestion is to get a different caster. I'v seen a lot of NASL, and I'm already tired of watching Gretorp expressing himself incorrectly. I enjoy his games a lot. I think he should be a full time player, not a caster.

i love all the embarassing stuff he says...so awkward sometimes
some of it goes over my head but inc is always there to point it out and get gretorp to elaborate
i think he must be kidding sometimes but i think it is entertaining nontheless

I agree. Don't get me wrong. I don't think Gretorp is terrible. I'm just saying that if they want NASL to become a first class tournament, they need first class casters.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe put a secondary drop over the lower right part of the screen. You could try to fit it at 1/4 size, then trim off bottom area of small panel so it takes like 2/3 or 1/4 of the screen (to cover as little as possible of main fight).
This isn't something you'd always have to do, but sometimes the secondary drop is important when it kills 10+ drones, or maybe 2 forges or the only robo. I'm not sure if this actually looks good in practice, but if it works it could be something distinctive to the NASL
(maybe a top v bottom split would work better? You would have to have 2 observers of video, or load the replay for the drop and splice it in later)
