But when the chips are down, Officer Huk and Officer Idra are ready to dish out true justice.

THe competitiveness between them is awesome; IdrA's smile in his MLG interview after beating HuK - it was like nothing else in the tournament matters except beating HuK, he has also said many times that HuK can't beat him in a straight up game.. So dreamhack should be very interesting - and i'm just talking about the car ride :p I hope someone takes their camera down for this and gets some photos of the fan riot for Jinro :p

During en early morning on the 15th of January 2011 Ponde, Hellspawn and I woke up in Uppsala. After spending the night in Ponde's appartment we had set the alarm clock to way-too-early. it was time for GSL with Artosis and Tasteless. With a cup of coffee in each person's hand and our sights set for Group D in the Ro16 with oGsMC, MKP, Rainb0w and the new success Jinro, who got his big break during the last season as the first non-korean to have reached the semi finals of a Korean StarCraft II tournament. Two hours later we stand up and let out a collective scream, raise our arms towards the sky and howl an echoing "JIIIIIINRO" which should have been enought to wake up everyone in the building. After the intial loss to MKP, swedish Jinro had done the impossible and beaten the ruling GSL champion twice - first on Lost Temple and then on Scrap Station. He beat a player who just a few weeks earlier had humiliated him in a semi final series in which the swede didn't stand a chance. It was somewhere around that time I decided to become a dedicated Jinro supporter. Sweden had gotten a new a e-sports star, in the same league as Lakerman and Heaton. If not bigger. I don't know if it was all the coffee we drank that morning, or if it was his nickname "Gorilla Terran" that made me join the church of Jinro. Maybe it was that he had previously been a devoted forum posted on Team Liquid with 30,000 posts in his bag, and now got to live is dream in the promised land of e-sports. Maybe it was something else, but it was a morning that won't soon be forgotten. Reinforced with confidence Jinro once again steamed on towards a semi final. In the semi final he had to once more face off against MKP, which unfortunately resulted in another defeat. But never have two semi final losses been impactful. Jinro wrote hinmself into the swedish e-sports history. Jinro also opened the eyes of a whole e-sports world: the South-Koreans aren't unbeatable. In Brood War it would have been an impossible achievement, but in StarCraft II the westeners could finally stand toe to toe with the korean superstars. Jinro had become a fan favourite, not only in Sweden - a whole online world was impressed by the swedish Terran player. It could be seen, if not anywhere else, on twitter, where he was "trending" globally. On the 10th of April, at 11:20, Jonatan "Jinro" Walsh will be arriving at Arlanda airport. He will be coming together with his TL team mate Huk, and the oGs superstar MC. Jinro is invited, just like the other two, to play in DreamHack's tournament "Stockholm Invitational" at Kulturhuset. It is the first time Jinro will be arriving in Sweden after the success in South Korea. I've said is several times, but it was somewhere there in Uppsala that I made my mind up: if Jinro comes home to Sweden the swedish e-sport community has to band together, go to Arlanda and give our swedish e-sports hero a proper welcome home to Stockholm. He's probably looking forward to meeting his family and friends when he arrives, but hopefully we can at least give back some of the entertainment he blessed us with during the dark winter. I therefore encourage all e-sport fans out there to do like I, Ponde and Hellspawn will. Book a bus, take the train, a cab or simply fill the car up with gas. Because at 11 am on Sunday (10/4) we will see eachother in the terminal 5 arrival hall at Arlanda to hail or superhero. Bring cameras, signs or whatever. There will of course be a whole lot of StarCraft talk, maybe a visit to McDonalds and a perfect build-up to the event on the 12th of April. Because who wouldn't want a swedish victory at Kulturhuset? Så kamma luggen nu och skriv i kommentarerna under om du dyker upp! Det vore om inte annat - kul att ses! So comb your fringe hair right now and write a comment to let us know you'll be there. It would, if nothing else, be great to meet you! thank you! the first translation was horrible! ![]()
