Yeah that would be pretty dumb and CC's can be pretty dangerous haha.
I think you should be able to get a Visa/Mastercard gift card, which either come in pre-defined amounts (usually 20E, 50E etc etc) or ones that you can add as much money as you want. You can probably get them in your bank (back when I was in Canada you could get them everywhere....)

well, there are two dangerous things:
A. you cannot control yourself and start to buy everything over the internet
B. credit card fraud
(those things are no problems for me cause I have a cc)

Both B has happened to me and if massively stressful. A lot of my friends suffer from A and are going to be in debt their entire lifes. I'm talking 18/19/20 year olds here.

Only credit card payment will mean that they will get less than half of what they would get with paypal in countries like Germany.
Credit cards are not used by most people here, guess NASL was not clever enough to inform themselves about that.

paypal is great but also risky for them because its very easy to dispute the money and then they have to fight for it
it is very easy for everyone (even germans) to get a pre paid credit card, you simply put money on the card and that's it
I personally prefer paypal over credit card but I can understand why someone would accept only credit card

Of course it is easy, but that is not the point.
The point is that NASL will get much less than with paypal. Simply because many wont bother to get a credit card just because of NASL.
My honest estimation is that it will cost them half of their potential customers in Germany and some other euro countries.
You should not put any additional hurdles for customers to give you money, it is as simple as that.

The reason why? Not money but time.
$25 may be a fair price for that much content... but I only have so much free time to watch SC2 and I want that time to be spent watching the best content possible.
That means the GSL.
Best players, best casters, best production value.
Why would I watch anything else?
If NASL can prove they can reach that level I may watch but until then I am very happy with GSL.
