skip to past about the halfway mark, and you'll hear him talk, and this was a year ago. I remember watching the wcg from i think 2009 when he was commentating and I actually didn't know who he was but remembered his voice when I watched the GSL because he speaks so deeply when he's on the air. | ||

1997: + Show Spoiler [ warning screamo] + 2002: + Show Spoiler + What I heard (and unfortunately can't confirm) was that the lead singer even had to go to the hospital after straining his voice to much during a performance. I don't know if they smoke or not but I do know they don't sound like a 60 year old chain smoker even after performing for years. I can't imagine that Tasteless is putting more stress on his voice then these guys yet he still sounds horse all the time now, maybe some damage was caused by casting while sick, but still they'res just no way that smoking doesn't have any influence. I love Tasteless, i just hope he takes care of himself before he end up like Dick Vitale. | ||

but srsly i could swear he has emphysema developing. such a shame since his voice is the tool he needs most to do his job well. he might also need voice training/therapy. thats what i had because I've a pissweak larynx and needed to re-learn to speak from my diaphragm to avoid chronic laryngitis. | ||

I've been smoking for like 16 years now and my voice is, if anything, a tad on the higher side... The effect that smoking has on a voice is ridiculously small! Almost non-existent! So stop talking shit without knowing anything... Then again, this is the internet, home of talking about everything without knowing anything... Having said all that I would like to know what DID change his voice so drastically. That's a pretty extreme shift! But: Chicks dig it, so more power to him. Also having a distinctive voice as a commentator is hardly a bad thing, isn't it? | ||

He is clearly talking out of his chest. Announcers everywhere do this, it's to give it a deeper tone, that's louder and clearer. It's called projecting. This thread is creepy. | ||

or someone who talks for hours upon hours a day at a high volume moreso I am surprised at how many people think they know exactly how much a starcraft 2 caster smokes. is this info available somewhere? did his doctor post in this thread? | ||
