But I can say that if EG didn't keep him, I'm not surprised at all. He was a great WC3 player, but that doesn't mean he's a SC2 "just add water" pro-gamer. He may get better, yes, but that's taking a risk that a team really doesn't need to take. TBH he's just riding his WC3 fame into SC2 and I think EG made a smart move by not signing him onto SC2 until he's proven himself to be good. (Assuming it was EG's decision)

Was it him dismantling almost every player in the Team Liquid that wasn't good? Or was it him forgetting how to lose PvP? AxSlav has been rollllllllllling people, but there just aren't tournaments here Stateside for him to dive into. He's going to make a splash soon. EDIT: April.... Fool's?

(Assuming it was EG's decision) Did you ever watched him playing sc2? He actually shows great skill, he learns incredibly fast and shows off some of the best sc2 micro. More than that, he is a decent, well manared guy, so how do you come to the conclusion, that EG didn't keep him?

I wonder what will happen with NASL, didn't they say you have to be in a team?

He´ll find the right place for himself. Thanks for the link. The video felt a bit long but had some good insights into Grubby's life as a pro gamer. The story of how he met his wife was interesting, and he seems to be a very nice and mild mannered dude. I was a bit curious what teams Grubby had been on, and from some googling, found that Grubby joined team EG in April of 2009. That means the 31st of March (yesterday) would mark the end of a two year period since he signed with EG. Assuming they negotiated yearly contracts, the end of last month would also mark the time the expiration of the most recent contract. Grubby was one of the very top WC3 pros and must have had an impressive salary playing for EG's Warcraft team. After his switch to SC2, his negotiating power undoubtedly diminished, and it's not hard to believe that he and EG would have trouble coming up with a new contract. Hopefully Grubby will do well at MLG and in the NASL and find a new team. I'll be cheering for him!

I mean, Grubby is an amazing talent and player, with sick potential - but in the world of WC3 his contract must have been for CRAZY money, and probably more than any player like IdrA got - and he isnt that valuable at sc2 yet.... Which suprises me, given how corporate all teams are, and how much of a perfect person/player/proffesional/household name Grubby is.
