EG has many players on their SC2 division that quite frankly seem to be signed because they are respected BW players. They are on this world class team because of their reputation from the past. I'm sorry to say but what has LzGaMeR, Machine, or Incontrol accomplished in SC2? They have sweet coaching gigs and Incontrol is a prominent and respected (completely deserved) member of the community but has their play been proven to be good enough to be contracted to one of the most prestigious teams in Esports history?
Now we have Grubby a player with more worldwide fame than all of these players. His skill may not be top tier yet but his name recognition and fanbase throughout the world is nearly unmatched. This is a big loss for EG as Grubby is a worthwhile team member regardless of current results. Something I can't quite say for the rest of their roster aside from IdrA and incontrol.
