What? OMG this was my favorite and most exciting SC2 event! The team matches are really what helps fans connect with players and teams, which IMO is how SC2 will succeed like Brood War. Awesome GOM! Every month please! I'll keep paying!

The last GSTL was so entertaining.

I didn't realize how entertaining it was until I watched this month's GSL.

Yeaaaaah, GSTL muthafuckas!! I wished it was a season long, like the starleague. It would make SC2 a proper Esport. Basically like watching the premier league and the GStl would be like the champions league and the GSL like.....the individual champions league.....i guess!!

Well Zenex got Kyrix, puzzle, byun....but im going with IM. TSL will beat FoU. OgS will lose against SlayerS. ST will crush Prime. .

....Im will Crush TSL and SLayers will lose to ST and the final will be ST vS IM again, this time, Bomber, Ace and July will destroy them!!!

I with the TSL crowd on this one, really feel like they're gonna bring some pain this time around.

I think we'll end up with the same final as last time, although oGs has a good shot at taking down Startale in the semis.

I'm calling Prime for the upset over ST!

Other than that I feel it will be pretty standard.

IM > ZeNEX fOu < TSL oGs > SlayerS

After that... IM > TSL and oGs > Prime

Then... IM < oGs

People will underate Slayers but they did pretty well at ZotaC, they reached the semis, and they did pretty well at the GSTL. They got a good crop of young players, and they are around BoxerS, so that`s inspiring right there. SlayerS_M and SlayerS_Alicia are two players with the potential abilities for an all kill. Probably others too, that we still don`t know about. I`m confident though, in Startale.
On the contrary of every other teams, they got a super player for each races. Ogs doesnt have a Star Zerg., neither does SlayerS or Prime. The only team that is as solid in every races is IM. They`re a Zerg factory these guys! But maybe, they dont have a Star Protoss, even if Yonghwa and Seed could just do that. They`re still not as good as Ace or Squirtle.

imo jinro should be playing for ogs, that would give ogs sick depth, mc, nada, thewind, jinro, inca, supernova, zenio and top. imo all those players are capable of competing with the best korea has to offer. i would include hyperdub except for that game vs mc -_-.

i feel either ogs or st with ace, squirtle, july, bomber, rainbow and a bunch of code a guys will win. im also have a good chance and zenex probably wont beat them, u have to bare in mind san will be in the army by then. But i guess you never know with someone like byun.

THIS IS WHY I LOVE TEAMLEAGUES. so hard to predict, some unknown could come in and all kill everyone for fou and then fou win the whole thing lol.

I love these team leagues. There is so much BM going on in them, building up rivalries left and right. It is by far the most exciting sc2 league to date. Can't wait to sacrifice my sleeping hours to watch more gstl.

St will win this time.

I'm actually really curios to see on how Prime will do. The recent interviews from youtube.com/artosistv, really makes it seem like the Prime clan is working hard to be top once again and the current GSL standings (whilst missing some of the powerhouse names) has produced some Prime names at the top.. SlayerS also made a lil splash in the Code A. but iunno against oGs.

Oh wells I can talk all day about the teams but I'm just gonna say - I'm keeping an eye out for the Prime team. but cheering for IM and/or oGs throughout. Can't say no to the best gamers in the world :D

Nah, I think fOu Will probably take this one, hands down. They have Leenock the mini Julyzerg.

On a more serious note, I am not sure if anyone other than ST/IM can actually win this. With their all star line ups and Nobodies who just seem to win(Ref squirtle and Seed last Team League) I am not sure if anyone else can put up enough good players, do not forget ST has bomber who everyone seemed to be scared of last GSTL.

I love being able to see the players I love and some players I may not know participate in the GSTL. Tuning in and not knowing who you're going to see brought out is always exciting. Honestly, I'm so much more excited for this than I am the current season of GSL - I wish they extended the GSTL or had one every single month.

The GSTL is so sick, would love to see even more teams play each other (like a round robin thing) but that would be too taxing on the players. Can't wait though.

Funny that most believe there will be IM vs ST finals again, just like many thought MVP would won GSL5 before Ro32. Most people make predictions based on the previous performance. However, since the team league has so many unpredictable factors, it's unlikely that we will see similar things happen again.

My feeling tells me that:

IM > Zenex
TSL >fOu
oGs> Slayers
Prime.WE >ST

We are dusts in the vast cosmic arena. Need to make the most out of life when we still have it.

I think I'll go into a little detail with my predictions:

RO8

IM - ZeNex

I think more than any other match in this first round, IM over ZeNex is a no-brainer. It goes without saying that a team with two GSL champions is quite strong, and both are often hailed as the best player from their respective races. Beyond that, more recent performance has shown IM to have more depth than I would have thought a couple months ago, as Losira this season is far exceeding my own expectations, and lesser seen players like Seed and Yonghwa have shown that IM has some Protoss presence too, in previous team leagues.

ZeNex, sadly, just can't compete. As one of the weaker teams in the league whose only real 'star' player is Byun, backed up by mediocre names like Kyrix, Jjun and Puzzle, they weren't going to be winning this tournament regardless. As it stands, an unfortunate first round match should see them going out on the first day.

TSL - fOu

This one seems a little bit closer, at least. TSL is one of the most well liked teams, I'd say, and it's no real surprise. Their roster reads like Starcraft 2's greatest hits, almost all well known, accomplished players. Having said that, though, it's hard to say how strong any of them really look. Though the champion Fruitdealer is always a threat, his recent play has not been inspiring; once again we find him in the up/down matches. There you'll also see Rain and SangHo, who battled their way up to the Ro8 in Code A, though got no farther. Clide and Tester will hang around Code S for another season at least, though their runs both ended in the Ro16. Meanwhile aLive manages to barely hang on to a Code A spot; Revival does not. Don't get me wrong, though. These results are not bad. These are all very competent players. However it's hard to point at any of them right now and say, "That guy's at the top of the top. That guy's scary." In the long term, someone from TSL is going to have to establish themselves as a legitimate ace, if they want to remain among the top teams.

Fortunately for The SCV Life, though, they got an easy first round opponent. Being matched up against team fOu, who I picked to be the weakest last season, and who aren't looking much better this season, means that this is TSL's game to lose. Don't get me wrong though, it could happen. Though far from having an All-Star line-up, sC and Leenock made strong showings this season, so if they bring their A game, and TSL doesn't, an upset is still possible here.

oGs - SlayerS

My heart wants me to pick SlayerS here. To be frank, no matter how much you may like oGs, anyone who's rooting against The Emperor is just an objectively bad person. >< Needless to say, I'm pulling for SlayerS. Having said that, I don't see it happening. To be fair, they're starting to look more and more like a legitimate team as these seasons progress, and I don't think they're at the bottom of the barrel anymore. Though they had bad luck in Code A, I do think players like Jjob and YuGiOh are solid, and fully capable of scoring wins in this match up. Alicia just got done with a rather strong run through Code A himself, and looks to be able to compete at a high level. And Boxer himself, of course, though he may not be the dominant player he was years ago, is still able to win, in my eyes. They're certainly not top-tier by any means, but they're starting to look like a real team.

Sadly, they've come up against THE team. oGs, as far as I'm concerned, has been and continues to be one of the deepest teams in Starcraft 2. A fan favourite for good reason, the oGs roster is chock full of not only popular but solid players. A short list of their most notable players includes Cezanne, Ensnare, MC, Nada, SuperNoVa, TOP and Zenio. There are plenty of others. oGs underperformed severely last GSTL, but I still see them among the favourites to take this one. It's hard to say whether they'll make it to the finals or not, but they'll get through this match, I'm sure. Still, I expect SlayerS to put up a decent fight, and make this worth watching.

ST - Prime

I never know what to think of Prime. Sure, MarineKing is among the best, but other than that? I would have told you not too long ago that players like Anypro, Check and HongUn would not win a game in Code S, but they all made me look silly. Hell, Anypro of all people is in the semi finals right now. It's been a weird month for Prime in general, though, as players that once looked more reliable like Maka and Loner both got knocked out of Code A, Polt failed to get anywhere in Code S(okay, that one is not surprising), and even MK of all people underperformed. They have a decent sized list of notable players, but it's hard for me to say how good they all are. Most of them just don't seem all that reliable to me. I don't know. Last season, Prime seemed like a middle-of-the-pack team. I think that still holds true. We'll see, I guess.

Startale, at least, I know what to think of. They're strong. They have plenty of solid players, and in a match like this, I think that's going to be what counts. Sure, ST HAS had a bit of a rough season in the individual leagues, mind you. Ace and Squirtle were favourites in Code A going in, but both fell in the third round, and veteran Rainbow is liable to lose his Code S position in the up/down matches soon enough. August will hang on to Code A, at least, and Virus has gotten into the up/down, and the biggest victory for ST is surely that JulyZerg himself seems a favourite(not that being the favourite seems to mean much lately) to make it to this season's Code S finals, though most may not be picking him to win it all. And don't forget that Bomber is still in the roster, waiting for his chance to shine. On the whole, ST looks as strong as they were last season, and should take this match handily. They're a threat to win the tournament, surely.

That's actually all I'm gonna do. Seems silly to predict later rounds before these have even happened.

If I had to pick a winner, though... I'd got Startale. But, they're my favourite team, so, lol

TSL, IM or ST.

IMLosirA, a beast.
TSL, dominating Code A and soon Code S.
ST, With the God of War...

unless MC all-kills everyone, I think oGs's chances are slightly slim. (My Opinion)

Shouldn't this be under sc2 tourneys?

Anyway my predictions are:

IM > ZeNEX; fOu < TSL; oGs > SlayerS; Prime.WE < StarTale

IM>TSL; oGs>ST

IM<oGs

ST vs oGs will be close, and the finals should be close as well.

I hope we can eventually have a real team league rather than this tiny single elimination tournament. Round Robin is so much more interesting for this stuff. I'm hoping ZeNEX upsets IM. I hope to see a Liquid player or two also. I'm also hoping some other players from OGS play. Ever since the Zotac, all we ever see is the usual suspects like Top, Ensnare, Hyperdub, and MC. I'd like to see Hero or J or Want or Carmel play, give them a chance in the booth.

Ya I agree. I would like them to change things up a bit so that we can see more of the teams play against each other... it would be a lot more interesting because it would greatly increase the chances of their being an outcome, and we can have something to gauge which team is better than another.

Oh well, either way the GSTL is awesome and I can't wait to see some of the players that we don't often see play again. It's nice to see the whole Code A and Code S classification dropped for these and to just see who plays for a team simply because their team feels they are deserving, not just because of results.

I don't think people should be autopicking ST over Prime because ST got to the finals and Prime underperformed in the last GSTL. In Artosis' interviews with the players and coach of Prime, they all said that they were overconfident and cocky going into GSTL Feb. and that they have been buckling down and working harder.

IM>TSL (i may be recalling wrong but i think IM has more Code S players). OGS>StarTale
Finally, OGS>IM.
I'm rather new to the Starcraft community and GOM, but i feel that, barring last season, MC has been too good these past few months, and NaDa is a legend. Though his match against July was kind of disappointing in his reticence towards a new build.

Even still, Staretale is full of BW pros. Prime players haven't improved a lot since beta, Maka has been playing terrible lately (much worse than Polt), Hongun and Anypro are decent, but not quite up to Squirtle/Ace's level, and Prime's lineup has seemed to just stagnate where all of the other teams are attracting up and coming players, Prime's star players have slowly started to fade and aren't being replaced by new ones. I think Prime is really going to have to work hard to defeat Staretale. Aside from Marine King, wht BW pros do Prime have? Tankboy is the only one I can think of. His BW record seems pretty good, but last we saw him his play was pretty poor.

Prime > ST (Protoss lineup of prime is somehow in shape, hongun and anypro somehow win games, marineking is marineking and there is check who always has new tricks up in his sleeve. This match, unlike the others, will be close unless Prime coach sends out bitbybit when he's down by 3-1 or 3-2)

IM > ZeNEX (This time it will be the zerg parade and kyrix won't block it. LosirA, Horror, NesTea and Junwi. May be the best zerg lineup in any sc team. Repetition of the last GSTL would be the best possible outcome for ZeNEX)

TSL > fOu (fOu terrans are hardly A class. I mean it. A Startale protoss AK'd fOu with 3 terrans in it and a random player that random'd terran. Besides Leenock, there is no other way for fOu to take down any aLive level semi-competent level or above player from TSL. They may have a win over TSL_Rain, but other than that it's simple and plain. 4-0 or 4-1 for TSL)

oGs > SlayerS (Won't even be close. I'd bet money on 4-0 as score. Look at slayers lineup: Boxer is worse than semi-competent in non-mirror matchups and he loses to poltprime, who is slightly above semi-competent, in his best mu. Alicia lost to oGs' new code s candidate supernova with a convincing 2-0. Other than these two, slayers consists of some unknown players that can hardly make a blast if they all play against a single guy)

You must be joking; HongUn (outside of his abysmal PvP) has shown himself to be far superior to Squirtle/Ace thus far in tourny play.

MarineKing, HongUn, Anypro + Polt/Tankboy/Some-random-up-and-comer could easily give a strong fight to July, Ace, Squirtle + whoever-is-left

Though one of the joys of these team leagues is seeing new and exciting players; no one really knew who Squirtle or IMSeed were prior to GSTL Feb, for example. We may see a newcomer slay the best that one or the other team has to offer!

Except IMLosirA, you're right. But ZeNEX isn't the team that can take down IM. Both Mvp and NesTea are capable of taking down anyone that can come from ZeNEX roster, even in their worst days. Last season, IMYongHwa came out of literally nowhere and totally changed the state of PvP, as you may remember. IM may have more of those Incredible Miracles up in the sleeve. After all, it's been quite some time since the last team league.

IM > ZeNEX
TSL > fOu
SlayerS > oGs
St > Prime

Semis:
IM > TSL
St > SlayerS

Finals:
IM > St

So basically, I predict this to end the same as the last teamleague.

IM > ZeNex: IM just seems to have an inexhaustibly deep stable of excellent players, with newcomers like Losira just roflstomping everything in sight. IMSeed will make for a good sniper/wildcard, and NesTea and MVP are a very potent 1-2 punch awaiting any team that has IM against the ropes, regardless of their early exit in this GSL. No team has a deeper bench.

TSL > f0u: Not much to say here, Tester and SangHo should be able to demolish f0u. Is choya still around?

oGs > SlayerS: I would expect this to be a slaughter, but strange and exciting things can happen in team league play. oGs is absurdly deep, with newcomers like SuperNova looking very good, but with established names like Nada/MC also creating a fearsome lineup. SlayerSAlicia and Boxer are both innovative players, but I can't see either one taking down MC, if it even gets to that point.

Prime > ST: This is a bit of an upset prediction; I think MarineKing + HongUn will be able to hold their team together against July+Ace+Squirtle. I'm still skeptical of July's ZvP after his Ro32 games against oGsMC

Prediction To Win It All: IM or oGs: Both teams have absurdly deep benches. If pressed, I'd say IM because I can't see any team knocking down MVP and Nestea back-to-back.

Wasn't it posted that there's a GSTL each time between code S/A leagues. So we can expect more GSTL this year (atleast 5 more).

very excited to watch this, last month's team league was so entertaining, it feels much more like a sport than the individual tournaments.

IM has a really good chance of making the finals again. The other finalist will probably be ogs or Startale.

I hope MarineKing will do some all-kills and reverse all-kills.
My predictions :
IM > ZeNEX - TSL > fOu - oGs > Slayers - Prime > ST if MKP makes this happen..
IM > TSL - oGs > Prime
IM > oGs.
Wanna see Nestea do good too. And if ST & IM reach the finals again, it would be cool that MVP crushes July :D.

I wonder if there is a qualification table anywhere, so we can see how many Code S and Code A players each team has.

Edit: Haha, thank you Liquipedia, quite easy to find -> GSTL Rankings <-

IM>Zenex: MVP and Nestea will be out for blood after their disappointing GSL showing
fou>TSL: Somehow the 2 weakest teams draw each other in the first round. TSL has the bigger
names but almost all of them have been disappointments.
oGs>slayers: oGs isn't as strong as we thought they were, and slayers got better more quickly than people expected, but oGs is still the better team.
ST>prime: Startale is absolutely stacked. Prime has MKP and that's it.

IM>fou: Nestea and MVP might not even play
oGs>ST: Calling it now. MC follows up his GSL championship by pulling a RAK against ST

IM>oGs: IM actually has to use Nestea this time after MC beats MVP. Nestea beats MC to clinch the championship for IM once again.

I can see IM losing the finals, but not getting there when they basically have zenex to beat and then TSL or fOu? That's madness.

Im betting on IM win again tho, LosirA and YoungHwa and Seed are scary... and Mvp/Nestea don't need introductions.

I definitely don't feel like we're going to be seeing in the finals or even the semis. They're just not performing that well at the moment. Much as I love them

I reckon fOu could come through, so expecting IM, fOu, oGs and ST in the Semis, unless the Prime hotshots manage to cinch the win off of ST. SlayerS are pretty unlikely to cause an upset unfortunately, seeing as they don't seem to have enough top class players to do more than take a win or two off oGs.

Yeah I can't see Zenex beating IM even if MVP and Nestea are slumping. IM still has a lot of talent to back them up.
I think this time we shall actually see a IM vs oGs finals. I give the edge to oGs

I actually don't care who plays and who'll win as long as the GSTL happens. The last team league showed some of the best GSL games of all times and most of them came from players noone would have expected to shine that bright or shine at all.

If I'd had to pick a team to take the title I'd go with oGs, very solid performance in GSL 5 so far. But for all I care, PoltPrime could all-kill everyone as long as I get to see some awesome games .

IM is so deep.... i dunno... OGS terrans have been weak lately...I don't know why that is... ST has the most depth, but IM is like the peak of the mountain with top 3 people. In the Team League format you really only need 2-4 players playing well to carry the team. (unless your squirtle)

IM > TSL; oGs < StarTale
then... ST wins this time.

Also hope that oGs decide to use the TL players would be really cool. SlayerS also have improved with player base and stuff so they may or may not be able to do it.

Teamkills: maybe we see them maybe we dont, TSL might be able to pull it off on fOu if they on A game.

Reverse Teamkill: What we never yet see. The really crazy feat that would be so awesome if someone pulls it off.

startale could be oGs but i really don't think mc can be stopped right now and IM has the deepest roster of talent we'll see for a long time i feel people like yonghwa and people are having a tough time with p's lately as is show best zerg and t in the world as well kinda hard to contest these facts.

My prediction is that coaches won't be so quick to feed the same race match after match as happened on 3 runs accounting for 10 PvT wins in the first TL. At least I hope someone was paying attention to that trend.

The problem wasn't 2v2, it was that team leagues happened so often that players like Doctor.K, Flower, ZergBong and others would become 2v2 specialists. Before team leagues were non-stop like they are now, 2v2 was fine to have and players like iloveoov and Reach would play lots of 2v2.

ST>IM (could go either way but ST for competition sake)

Would be super happy if oGs or SlayerS surprised me!

I don't know, but honestly I hope not. I would love to see Jinro play in the team leagues, but I think it would be a rather biased and unfair exception for oGs since they are on different teams. Moving in with someone on another team doesn't mean you can now play for that team.

IM < TSL oGs > ST

I love these team leagues because we get to see the "b-teamers" so to speak, or the up and coming guys that no one really knows of.

Well, I don't recall TL using MC/Nada/etc. in foreign team leagues so it makes sense the other way around.

Last GSTL iirc they counted Jinro as a Code S oGs players but didn't use him in their lineup

EDIT: Yea I just rewatched GSTL IM vs oGs and they listed Jinro with all of oGs code S

This GSTL is going to be so much better because now a lot of the unknowns of the first season are now known through the previous GSTL and GSL Code A. I didn't know about players like Squirtle, Alicia, Slayers_M, etc. but now I'm excited to see them play. Can't wait for this!!!!!!!

Nope. Already been covered in last GSTL. Liquid is an own team, with too few high ranked players to compete in the GSTL. I hope to God that HuK and Haypro gets into code S, so that once they get a couple of more players there, we'll have enough points to compete
It's a dream ofcourse, as I don't think Liquid is planning on adding on more players to the team, but it would be pretty f*cking awesome none the less.

IM vs Startale again would still be pretty awesome, team rivalries make GSTL so worth it

You should not have to pay to watch the GSL, Proleague, or OSL at a reasonable time. That is not "fine" and it's BS to say otherwise. My sig since 2011. http://www.youtube.com/user/dabom88

The GSTL is on a seperate ticket (like $5). If you never watched the first one it's still well worth it for the finals alone imo =) [There were a number of other good days of play, but that was a truly exceptional series]

Can't wait for the second tournament, it's going to be super exciting, particularly now we kind of know what to expect ^_^

I'm surprised that most people don't continue to think of IM as the heavy favorite. MVP and NesTea may have fallen early in the March GSL, but they're still probably the best players in their respective races. MC has been sick in this GSL, but MVP took him down relatively easily in the GSTL.

Losira is probably the best player not yet in Code S (though he will be soon).

You do have to keep in mind that MVP and Nestea are not both in their best of shapes right now, though should not be underestimated. SlayerS Alicia will definitely prove himself to be useful this time, as well as San Zenith.

Can someone post the team rankings as well? I'm surprised TL didn't get invited to this one, seeing as they now have 2 players in Code S and 2 players in Code A.

EDIT: Oh, I guess they don't count HuK as Code S until next season.

IM has some really good players, but their big stars (MVP, Nestea) haven't been doing do well lately. they'll stomp ZeNEX and probably either TSL or fOu, but i don't see them winning the finals again.

Recent underperformance doesn't necessarily mean much, and players who haven't necessarily owned it up in GSL have done amazing in GSTL (Seed, Squirtle, Bomber), and relative unknowns have roared out of Code A every season (Alicia, SuperNova) so in the end it could be ZeNexPuzzle all-killing IM in the first round, or MarineKingPrime going into beast-mode and wiping out all comers, or some random prodigy from SlayerS could help them win it all.

Bottom line-- it's the Nerd March Madness! Prepare your brackets with every expectation that they'll be in heaping ruins by the second round :D

ZeNex is a surpisingly deep team. They have a ton of players that are high ranked on the ladder, but not in the GSL. I don't expect them to do amazing but I wouldn't be shocked if they upset IM either. I hope MarineKing and polt step up and dominate for Prime and I also want fOu to do well.

A little off topic, but spring break is next week so I get to watch EVERY match!!! Yay for no school! :D

As long as we get oGs vs. ST with a July vs. MC rematch I'll be happy. It's pretty likely, too - if ST ends up sending out July (and he's one of the best players on their team, so it seems likely) I wouldn't be surprised to see MC demanding to be sent out and take him on again, plus he's one of the few players who's proven that he can take on July and win.

I feel like it could be oGs' time to win. They have several solid code S standard players, and not only that, they have an unstoppable protoss in MC.

I would be suggesting IM, but it seems that MVP has a big weakness against protoss at the moment and I expect the teams to exploit that.

Can someone post the team rankings as well? I'm surprised TL didn't get invited to this one, seeing as they now have 2 players in Code S and 2 players in Code A.

you answered half your question but in case you're still curious, the team rankings are here

and for all you haters, I just LB'd ZeNEX over IM! remember this prediction when the upset happens~

If those are the rankings, how exactly did the seeding work for this?

IM>all? I mean I can definitely see maybe ST taking it this time too, but IM will definitely be in the finals again this time around, their team is way too solid, they could probably get there again without pulling Nestea or MVP out.

I think the left side of the bracket may be a little bit more lopsided tbh, the right side I feel is definitely more balanced. I mean TSL has got some big names but none of them have performed up to that level, and fOu is pretty well rounded as well but no big names there at the moment, but IM is just too good I think. I think from the right side it could either come to ST or oGs there, but I'd put my money on ST once again on that side.

ST vs IM finals again is my prediction should be interesting.

Going to be an ogs/im finals. MC was taken out by mvp last time, but now they can't meet till the finals. MC is unbeatable right now.

I would love a IM - oGs finals, but I think last season we realized we can't predict the teams as well as we once thought.

If it ends up being that, MVP/Nestea/Seed vs. MC/TheSTC/NaDa will definitely make it a finals for the ages.

Plus Mvp is slumping a bit at the moment. Unless he returns to his former glory or July manages to survive long enough to actually use his new strategy, whatever that may be, oGs wins this.

I am recording these predictions btw, of course anything submitted or any post edited after 09:30 GMT (+00:00) will not count. Also it has to be a full prediction of all 3 rounds!

I am not cool enough to have a good prize but I'm thinking maybe the winner can trumpet their victory in their choice of their or my signature until next season. Unless you're one of the million people that chose IM, TSL, oGs, Startale, IM, Startale, IM. In which case you win nothing.

That's awesome Antoine

Here's mine:

IM > ZeNEX; fOu < TSL; oGs > SlayerS; Prime.WE < StarTale
IM > TSL; oGs > StarTale
IM > oGs

It feels to me IM has a lot more depth, but I could be wrong. MVP and Nestea are still extremely good.

Also, we might see an upset of Prime vs StarTale, seeing how Prime has been practicing like crazy.

PuMa anyone?

P.S. : Antoine, I'm sorry, but Tasteless called it, IMSeed.

This is only based off of GSL showings, so my rationalizations are probably not that solid since there are obviously plenty of great players that aren't even in Code A. But anyway...

IM > ZeNex - IM has friggin' NesTea and MVP. MVP's slumping though, so I'm not sure how well he'll perform. Still, IM also has great players like LosirA, Seed, and Yonghwa, while ZeNex has Byun. Unless ZeNex has some unknown gosus I don't see them beating IM.

fOu < TSL - FD seems to have been slumping lately, too. However, Alive, Tester, and Clide are all very solid players, and you never know when FD will start rolling face again. Nevertheless, it'll be close since Leenock, Choya, and sC are both very solid themselves. It's really too close to call but I give the edge to TSL because I'm a TSL fanboy.

oGs > SlayerS - SlayerS has M and Alicia, both who are very, very good players and boost SlayerS a ton in my eyes. Nevertheless, it's friggin' oGs, and I don't see M or Alicia beating MC. Aside from MC, however, oGs seems pretty Terran-heavy with players like SuperNova, TOP, Hyperdub, NaDa, and Ensnare, all who I think Alicia can take on. Also, oGs has Inca, TheWind, and Zenio, all who are also very solid players in their own right. SlayerS will probably put up a nice fight, but oGs simply has more better players.

Prime.WE > ST - I honestly think Polt, MKP, anyPro, and HongUn are all capable of dealing with most of the higher-tier ST players. Squirtle has shown himself to be capable of great play, but his performance lately has shown that he's also pretty inconsistent. Same with Ace - sure, he won IEM, but his play against Virus looked pretty dismal. July is good, but I think MKP or even HongUn would be capable of taking him out. Bomber looked ridiculously strong last GSTL though, so I could see him pulling a clutch. Nevertheless, I give the edge to Prime.

IM > ZeNEX
Even if Mvp is slumping hard, IM has Nestea, Losira and a bunch of other gosus, while ZeNEX has Byun.
fOu < TSL
Unless Leenock can manage an all-kill there's not much chance for fOu. They just don't have any other truly impressive players. Besides, TSL has Cliiiiiiiiiiide.
oGs > SlayerS
It's oGs.
PRIME.WE < StarTale
I'd like to be wrong about this, since MKP is one of my favourite players, but StarTale crushed face last season, and with July's recent dramatic improvements they have a pretty kickass racial trio in Bomber-Squirtle-July.

IM > TSL
TSL is good enough to take out fOu, but they just won't cut it against a top team like IM. Fruitdealer was a one-hit wonder back when no one was very good and none of the other TSL players have really done enough to compete with the likes of Nestea or an in-shape Mvp.
oGs > StarTale
I'm a rabid MC fanboy.

IM < oGs
See above.

I just want to make sure I understand this correctly. Right now Slayers only has one player in code S and one player in code A. The team league for this month was based off points at the beginning of the March season, however.

But, for the next team league, unless a few things happen, Team Liquid should have more points than Slayers. Here's things that will attribute to Liquid being the last place team:

1. Huk and Jinro both stay in code S.
2. Haypro is able to get back in code A and win at least one match.
3. Haypro is able to get into code S.
4. Boxer remains in code A or drops out of GSL.
5. Alicia drops down to code A.

Here are things that could attribute to Slayers being the last place team:

1. Alicia remains in code S.
2. Boxer returns to code S.
3. More Slayers players get through the qualifiers and either remain in code A or advance to code S.

This is mostly going to hinge on what Liquid does I think. If they perform, it's not going to matter what Slayers does unless they're able to get two or more players through the qualifiers and subsequently perform very well.

If Jinro and Huk can remain code S and Haypro at least solidifies himself in code A, I think in all likelihood that Liquid will be the last place team regardless of what Boxer, Alicia, and the rest of Slayers accomplishes.

I really hope they're able to do it. I definitely think that Tyler, TLO, and Ret would be up to flying to Korea for the team league since it's only four days. Only problem I could foresee is that I recall GOM requiring teams to have more players than that (seven? nine? can't quite remember), so I don't know what they'd do to fix that or if they'd be disqualified by not being able to field a large enough team, allowing Slayers to take their spot. Hopefully they'd at least let them use the players oGs doesn't place on the roster.

So few people think that Slayers will beat OGs. If MC gets sniped, I think Slayers has the better team.

Maps are super hard for t and OGS is so terran stacked.

Crazy as it seems the only one from slayers I can see taking out MC is Boxer. He's the only one on slayers i can see having a ridiculous build that MC isn't prepared for. In a straight up game I don't see anyone on slayers beating MC.

I just wnat to point out, everyone had this mega bias towards oGs last season, saying they have so many Code S yadada yadada they're ogs...

But they got smashed. I can see SlayerS winning this 4:1, 4:2 easily.

Remember SlayerS best player, Alicia? SuperNoVa happened! Seriously, I think oGs is a lot better than we think. They just got unlucky last season and were paired against IM first round.
