Regarding Tasteless' voice, anyone with any experience in the voice profession can tell that he is not speaking in a healthy manner. His voice sounds just as poorly placed (and dangerously so, for any voice professional, although I'm not sure he was then) in the 2005 video as it does today. It's just in 2005 that poor placement + overuse as a commentator had not yet trashed his voice. I really hope he sees a voice therapist--or takes singing lessons, or something--before his voice is totally ruined, since he and Artosis are by far my favorite commentators.

This thread is bringing out all the old people from way back when. Perhaps more will post old nostalgic content, back when they had to micro through 3 feet of snow, both to their nat and back. When you could buy a Marine for a nickel and seat belts in seige tanks were optional.

Im extremely happy this was released. I've watch the daily #100 3 times and really wanted to see how these tournaments really were back then. Everything is so different because of the LAN environment. Hope they allow LANing soon with sc2. This just makes me love day9, tasteless, and arotosis that much more.

The tournaments today feel like they're so much less connected on a personal level to the players. I really hope the NASL does a good job about bringing the player's stories back into the scene. Not to say that people don't have the same passion and emotions about the game, it may just be that this video did a great job at highlighting it, but I'd love to see more of it.

I'm not sure why, but this video was really bittersweet for me. Regret that I was too lazy to play Broodwar beyond UMS? Nostalgia for simpler times? Who knows.
