I did, he says that Idra got is where he is at skill-wise only by laddering although Idra been playing sc2 since the beta -ignoring his past sc:bw experience experience accumulates over time that is my point -his overall play wasn't shaped just by a couple of months

His comments about how every mechanic seems to be based around getting stuff out faster is so true. I wonder how much of a solution taking them all out would be. Would definitely lead to a radically different style of play for zerg, if nothing else, what with needing a lot more hatches.

Considering Blizzard takes that route to balance by improving early game scouting, it would not only resolve somewhat of the issue of one base plays by making them less effective if you are good enough to scout properly, but it would leave them still viable if the other player doesnt play properly(i.e. scout it).

PS How about interviewing Artosis and/or km about the ongoing hi5 denial issue?

Every other pro and a good percentage of the TL population has been playing since beta. Why is IdrA so good if he's doing the same thing that a lot of people are doing? IdrA's kept up with the code S players by just laddering. Keep in mind that his opponents have a equally skilled practice partners as well as a steady practice schedule.

He has basically only practiced by laddering. I don't see what's hard to understand.
