It is always 6PM pacific time with 5:30PM preshow. NASL will adjust for day-light savings.

I'm pretty confused, there's a pre-show and incontrol and getorp are dressed up on camera, but if I'm correct didn't they already cast the games yesterday and then they broadcast the cast the next day?

this is pretty crap about the 1 spot from 1024 people, I mean don't you think its wayyyyyyy tooo little.
I mean who said Idra, Morrow, Socke and Select are the world best players? As we see from TSL there are a lot of players that just aren't in the spotlight, but they are 100x times better than idra, huk, morrow and company.
I mean you need to have at least half of the participants be from the 1024 qualification bracket.
Sorry to be mean, but what is your financial backing? I wouldn't want someone to report you to the financial inspectors in your country. Spreading false information about covered expenses and not able to to it, is seriously punishable by law. Its basically a form of scam.
Where are you getting the money for such prizes?

I think they film Monday through Friday and then they edit it and show it the next day. So what is being shown today is what happened on Monday. This way the crew has a regular work week, but we get to see an enhanced cast with post interviews and no delays.

Where are you getting the money for such prizes? You come into this thread to spew this crap? I really don't think the people running the NASL need a lecture on what fraud is. Its a private company, they are not required to disclose where they got it from. They have the money for the first 3 seasons secured, have stated it multiple times. That one spot is directly into a 16 man tourney with 400 dollars travel expenses, and a chance at the $50000 first place. The like top 8 of the 1024 man tourney are placed into the next season i am pretty sure sure they said 8 it may be 4 or 12, not 100% on the number. Their was a system in place to be invited, they only had the results that had happened prior to that time on which to base their choices, so this last weeks TSL or MLG really isn't important in the argument on who should of been invite. Some of the people you may of been thinking of may have not applied, or perhaps were unable to apply on time( a sign that they may not be reliable at showing up on time, something very important to an organization like this)

Ya, I am still waiting to hear of an ETA on when paypal will be available. Would be nice if the organizers wouldnt leave us in the dark for so long regarding this topic.

Will NASL release a rep pack at end of Season 1??
|
Will there be any additional casters for the NASL. I was willing to give Gretorp and Incontrol a chance, and listen to them for a week and make a judgement on them, hoping maybe they would provide stronger commentary than what I've been used to from them.
So far Incontrol has done what he always done, decent, if unspectacular commentary, wandering into the inconsequential and inane at times, but for the most part being okay. I mean it is expected of starcraft commentators to go off on nerdy tangents from time to time, so I was really bothered by it. I don't mind incontrol. He's not ideal, but he does a decent job..
What really bothers me is Gretorp's commentary. For the most part he has nothing of value to say, and just points out the obvious, or things that seconds later turn out to be wrong. I commend his enthusiasm, but for the most part find his outcries and voice when engaging in them to be grating and annoying. After watching Tuesday nights stream for a few hours I was forced to mute it out of frustration and for the sake of my headache.
I guess I would say I'm dissapointed at NASL for the quality of its commmentators. It is supposed to be this outrageously high production value event, but seems to have cheaped out on the casters using convenient people who already had a role in the organization. I think an event like TSL is something that they could learn from as I really think that they went all out on their casters. DjWheat, Husky, Day9 and Chill are all quality casters. Day is obviously a step above most casters, but I think even the other three are all comparable or better than Incontrol, and certainly much better than Gretorp. I think it would be great as the tournament progressed to add in some new talent, as I don't think I will watch much of it, at least with the sound on, if this remains unchanged. I think you'd find a lot of agreement in the community to my stance as well.

you're being really ridiculous. incontrol was #4 at mlg dallas, gretorp was #19, they are both good pros and they are doing a great job considering they don't have much experience commentating. they will get better... day9 doesn't have time to commentate 5 days a week for a few hours at a time he's completing a masters in mathematics... and i dont think he was as good his first time at the role... seriously i think their choices are great, both players and commentators..
