It was far from under the radar. You can't hype something for forever and expect people not to find out.

Hey guys, just had a thought.
If the NASL is created. What will come of our beloved Tasteosis? Will they stay in Korea and cast GSL or will they move to America and cast there? Or even compete in the NASL, persuing actually playing rather than casting.
Hmmm?

Still exciting stuff inc uhh...no, the GSL isn't. Unless you are referring to the whole year, which isn't relevant when discussing the 100k figure for the nasl.tv
GSL is 144k for Code S.

Where did you pull this number from? GSL Jan was $129,609USD total (144,900,000KRW). If you are talking yearly then it is ~$1 million USD I suppose, but we have no idea if Inc's $100k is for a year, for every 3 months, for every month, or if it's even a real number.

Maybe he was just trolling? Naw. The S stands for a T which stands for Trolling.

Unfortunately that's just what happens, you can't hype something as much as this has been hyped and expect people to not try to figure out what's happening..

Yeah, Inc really kept this one under wraps lol. It is hype buddy, not state secrets. If they really wanted to keep it under the radar, they wouldn't have talked about it in the first place.

Full of win.

Sure, the S doesn't stand for StarCraft.
Because it's the North American StarLeague.

Supposed to countdown to the showmatch after that it all goes live Unfortunately, the javascript used for the countdown isn't super smart. It will count down to 2PM local time, whatever that is for you. Here, I'm on the eastern timezone, so it says 15hours left (which would be 2pm EST), instead of 18hours.
If someone at nasl.tv somehow wanted to fix this, they could replace one line in http://nasl.tv/scripts/countdown.js :
expire = parseInt(Date.parse("Feb 21, 2011 2:00 PM")/1000); //End Date
should be changed to
expire = 1298325600; //End Date
(maybe someone can confirm my UNIX timestamp skills...)

seriously. im a bit shocked hearing people get angry at gosutrolling and the rest for doing their best to put together the pieces. thats exactly what inc wants.
i wouldnt mind even if it wasn't but inc wanted but that's irrelevant - inc is loving the hype machine right now.

First: this has been posted twice already, don't talk about winning the thread...
Second: If I'm not completely wrong, google takes those page names from links to the page, rather than the page's actual name (seeing as the name of the actual page isn't the north american starcraft league.) I'm pretty sure google got "north american starcraft league" from our speculation, and gosutrolling's, etc...

Lol. Some guy on inControl's stream just messaged him on skype, telling him he wants to help and find sponsors for the NASL.
"No big surprise."

This is gonna be awesome!

Now this video alone is amazing, but the fact that you can see the boom mic hanging down from above is just pure win.

On Monday, February 21st at 2pm PST we're going to be streaming the "Clash of the Titans" StarCraft 2 showmatch between two of the best SC2 players in the world, Greg "EG. IdrA" Fields and Jonathan "Liquid`Jinro" Walsh at http://g4tv.com/SC2showmatch
The showmatch is being put on for the fans, and will be played in a best of seven format for $1500 on the following maps: Xel'Naga, Crossfire SE, Shakuras, Terminus RE, Lost Temple, Crevasse, and Metalopolis. The stream will feature a preshow with interviews from both players, as well as a history of the matchups between them. Jinro and IdrA are the only two non-Korean players to have made it to the round of eight in the prestigious Global StarCraft 2 League (GSL) in Korea, and Jinro was the one to knock IdrA out of the tournament back in January. It will be casted by Geoff "EG.iNcontroL" Robinson and Andre "Gretorp" Hengchua.
But that's not all. Directly after the stream we'll be featuring an exclusive interview with Geoff Robinson about his alleged brand new StarCraft 2 tournament the North American StarCraft League. If you're a fan of competitive StarCraft 2, this event can't be missed, so make sure to tune in!

And what about this, good sir?
|
it says alleged, it doesnt mean anything
this thread has gone in a million circles.
|
Whoa, $ 100,000 in total prize pool D: That's actually crazy, I think it's around the same as GSL isn't it??
Also, I agree that it kind of sucks that it was leaked, but he announced so many announcements and hyped it up so much that it's kind of hard for this stuff not to leak
