Look for the later ones. He gets a really cool thor timing, where if the Toss expands the toss gets crushed by a scv repair/thor/250mm/marine "all-in". It almost always works. If the toss doesn't expand then Trump builds a CC in his base and waits for the toss to attack him. He defends the toss all-in and can quickly outmacro the toss.

That's quite a dull strat though, it's painful to see a "core strategy" being an allin.

Love your stream though Trump, you seem so confident and relaxed. Your strats tend to be just somewhat gimmicky(TvZ and TvP, TvT is just very greedy ), which is sad, since you seem to have decent enough macro(ok well you need to fix the supply capping ) and micro which could get you places if you relied on it more. Will download and watch the replays when I get home.

The TvP strat is actually quite solid. It punishes Protoss for fast expanding which is what most Protoss players do because they think they are invincible with just a few gateway units and an immortal. The strat is capable of transitioning into a strong mid game. Thors can be countered by colossi, but vikings and banshees are surprisingly good at making the strat workable as long as it doesn't go to templar tech, which demolish Thor support units, banshees, and vikings, making it possible for colossi to demolish thors.

I think the best aspect that Trump's stream demonstrates is the power of 250 mm strike cannon. It turns out that it is very hard to break a Terran thor army with the typical mix of immortal and gateway units mid-game, because 2 fact thors match 1 robo chrono'd immortal production and as long as Terran has as many thors as immortals or more thors than immortals the immortals will be demolished by 250 mm. This requires a switch to colossi and/or void rays and/or mass robo play, though none of these are ideal compositions against Terran mech given the ease by which Terran can add vikings and/or banshees. This is the reason this TvP strategy is more successful than most Protoss are willing to admit.

However, there are definite ways to exploit the immobility (though Protoss is usually quite immobile as well) and late-game Protoss is still stronger due to chargelots, high templars, and colossi. Blink stalkers also do surprisingly well.

A number of people have posted making generalizations about Trump's playstyle. As a regular watcher of his stream, I have to say, I have seen Trump incorporate more experimentation and variation into his BOs than any other streamer I have watched.

While Trump might be experimenting with a "gimmicky" phase right now, and exploring all-ins, if we go back a month, Trump was claiming that he didn't even know how to do an all-in. He consciously stated that he wanted to develop some all-ins to compliment his general macro-style. If anything, Trump is always struggling to move away from the gimmick (until he gets frustrated-remember "poking out the eye" of the protoss?).

TL DR Please don't generalize about someone's playstyle based on a small amount of evidence or a handful of game that they are doing recently. With Trump, it's all about the journey and the experiment. Trump is not afraid to lose. And yes, I consider him the most solid TvT player I've ever watched precisely because he is so methodical. This month, he has been trying out some greedy stuff. I'm sure he'll back back to dominating in the near future.

Thanks for the high quality entertainment, Trump. I always look forward to your stream.

I love watching Trump's stream but I have to admit he played a lot better before he started doing the wow guide thingy. He had this mass nuke lategame strats or solid builds but seeing TvP Thor+Marine allin is just.. I dont know

The TvP strategy is really neat. How does it fare against 3 gate robo pushes or 3 gate stargate?

Big fan of the stream, excellent music and lots of commentary (which is the single most important thing about a good streamer, imo).

Quite surprised at the low win ratio v Zerg, doesn't feel that bad when I'm watching. But I'm sure you'll come up with something. Keep reaching for that rainbow!

Due to the presence of Thors, defense is quite easy against all-ins (excuse me...one base aggression) - because your entire base is an army of repairers. They can't break your Thor.

If they one base aggress you, you can build your expansion in-base and out-macro them.

Hey, Trump, I really like your TvP style, so I've started using it as well.

However, I can't think of a good followup to quick DTs into an expansion..... I've watched several of the replays, but I did not see any where you faced quick DTs..... Waiting for a raven puts me behind badly in economy, and attacking too quick will make me run out of energy on my OC before I can kill the dts.....

How do you deal with that? Do you abandon your plan?

if I suspect DT (a combination of early scv scout seeing 2x fast gas and hellion scout seeing something suspicious) I'll go for same opening but add a starport and get raven instead of 250mm cannon.

Do you wait for the Raven to get 100 energy for a PDD before engaging then? Or does the attack come too late in that case?

Trump your stream is amazing! Quality of stream, music and commentary is great and also the way you experiment and challenge assumptions. Seeing you try and fail/succeed has really improved my understanding of the game.

Watching anxiously for you to solve the current zerg frustration!

By far my favorite stream. Always looking out for your name on the "Live user streams" list. Often dissapointed to not see you there.

How much do I need to pay you to totally change your routine and stream whenever I'm available to watch?

That is easy REM, you can watch the VODs on Trump's justin.tv page (Trumpsc) whenever you want to (unless you manage to see all of Trump live)
