I've been busy planning a bunch of stuff (State of the Game, for example) and I've just recently started producing content once more. JP and Friends is a weekly one or two hour show involving prominent Starcraft 2 community members coming on to promote their current projects.

Please (PLEASE!) feel free to comment on ways to improve the overall stream/production/show. I have already purchased a webcam but ~5m before going live it went to shit and was giving me poor frames. I didn't want to delay anymore, so I just went ahead without it. Future shows should have them, as well as more 'motion' graphics. Thanks so much!
P.S. Planning on updating this thread with graphics and what not later on, just don't have the time or assets to do so at the moment

I really enjoyed the IdrA episode - I'm especially looking forward to the iNc one, because I play Protoss. I'll watch as soon as I can. ^^

Incontrol was definitely the better coach of the two, definitely has a good style that's forceful and just a little dickish without overwhelming the player. Was incredibly interesting to watch.

yes his stile is very good as you described. but Idra in the other hand is very specific about timings which is also great.

Collosi / Phoenix is so hard to beat as terran. Second i saw phoenix i just said "God, Fuck you Geoff" when Protoss start using phoenix with Collosis the Protoss GSL numbers will skyrocket and equal out with terran players.
(For the record, i am not saying Protoss is OP. I just don't know how to deal with Collosis/phoenix yet) IncontroL says mix in thors.
But after i went Ghost instead of Vikings i pretty much lost. Vikings need to be out before the 2nd collosis or you just fall behind GG JP I WANT A REMATCH! bla!

He actually said he was going to invite gretorp next if you listen in the end of the incontrol episode. So next week gretorp, and the week after that Sjow, if I recall correctly. I would love it if you could get gretorp on.Even though I'm a protoss I just enjoy listening to gretorp so much. He speaks so well and brings up such important and interesting aspects about whatever it is he talks about when it comes to sc2.

During the InControl replay that's reviewed at the start of the cast, Geoff eventually ends the game by bypassing Fenix's sieged tanks and going straight for the main.
However, InControl is without air units of any kind (or even a starport to make them). Had Fenix instead raced to InControls' own base and sieged there, while lifting his buildings and flying them off map, I don't think the game would have ended the way it did. Bypassing a Terran's army and going for what is ultimately a base race is really not the best course unless you're in enough of a macro lead to safely push his army, or have enough flying units to handle lifted buildings.
That said, really enjoyed the segment, looking forward to more.

Him playing Random just be a new thing because I know for the longest time he played Protoss. I think pretty much any caster who doesn't want to come off as a complete homer should probably play Random.

I was really surprised how solid JP's gameplay was during the first match he was coached on. At times it seemed like he was a little bit overwhelmed but good recoveries. JP should go Toss, full time!

He has solid mechanics at least. You have to remember that iNcontroL was making all of the decisions.

Hm can't say I really cared for the latest episode. It may be because I've analyzed and emulated Sjow so much that I already knew exactly how to execute the "Sjow build" so I didn't get much out of the coaching session. Then the game after that was one of those 1 in 100 games where there really isn't too much to take away from that one, either. Though I guess I'm still not 100% sure the focus of this show; if it is supposed to be educational or entertainment.

cant it be both? but I agree with you, the game was not well chosen, the only thing we learned out of it was, that zerg needs a better eco than terran, or he cant win. nothing new for me.

You asked for advice on making the episodes better in the OP, so here's my advice: Open up each cast with the date, even if it's not said, just a little text thingy somewhere in the video for a few seconds. Makes watching vods much more enjoyable, since viewers can put them in context.

JP love the show. I would be really nice to have the replays uploaded especially when the pro shows u a build. I think its a good way to help learn the build and copy it. Also could one of your shows include replay analysis? When i say replay analysis what would the pro look for in their own replays as well as someone else to find leaks and holes in thier play.

One small suggestion: Why waste time getting coached on Terran by Geoff? Focusing on the main race of the pro player you have on should be much more productive. And that's coming from a terran player.
