Someone from SEA said earlier in the thread that Shakuras is back, but Shakuras isn't in the pool on NA so not sure what to make of that.
Other than that there's nothing new.

I am finding SC2 to be unplayable since the new patch. I'm not sure what they did specifically that is causing this, but the game is so laggy that it's impossible to play now. Nothing has changed on my end and all other games except SC2 run fine. I am assuming it has something to do with the high volume of people downloading the patch, but I won't be playing any more starcraft until this lag gets sorted out.

Not sure why they didn't use this one instead, maybe the shape. Looks way cooler, at least make it like this considering it's suppose to be the top tier league on the ladder.

is it confirmed that there is a grandmaster league yet? that may be why the emblems are different. I havent seen any info on grandmaster and the notes only say master league.

No admins on chat channels is a pretty dumb design decision. It's like they are punishing us for wanting chat channels in the first place.

What I have found thus far is that the NA server is filled with a lot more trolls than SEA. Of course, given the huge difference in players (300+ alone in General Chat on NA compared to the 60 or so on SEA) I guess you do get more trolls.

Haven't been able to have a single constructive discussion on any of the strategy channels on NA.

I cant get into TL channel, it is always fucking full.

I love the new patch - but seriously, who designed the new icons? They look terrible - particularly the Gold league icon.

And Masters looks really bad when compared to the awesome design we saw earlier - also when compared to the uber thick borders of the other league icons it just seems really out of place.

I guess maybe they were trying to differentiate masters from the other leagues - doesn't change the fact that it looks bad =/

Still, chat channels are awesome. No admins is bleh, but oh well~

I'm kind of disappointed with Master's League. It's still so relatively easy to get into.

And the chat channels... better than nothing I guess but all they did is change the chat boxes to blue pretty much.

Maybe the new maters league is like diamond back in retail days, its easy to get in at FIRST. Surely if players keep playing they might get demoted and the notable ones will get promoted.
