Hi! So instead of making a new post every time G4TV.com covers SC2 content, I'm just going to update this thread to keep everything clean and in one place. Below I've included links to all of our previous content, and I will always put the most recent entries at the top of this post.
It's thanks to you guys that I'm able to focus a lot more on our website's SC2 coverage. If you have ideas for where we can take e-Sports in the future on our website please don't hesitate to PM me or message me on twitter @Leahbjackson. Also, we love comments on our site so please feel free to say a few words if you like the content in the articles. -- Last Updated: 7/15/11
Terran Vs Protoss Build Order - StarCraft 2 Tips By CompLexity Drewbie + Show Spoiler +
It would be really awesome G4 really took the Starcraft E-sports scene and ran with it. Perhaps even doing some partnership deals with GOM? This really seems like a good opportunity for all parties involved here. Keep up the good work.
So when are we going to see gaming content on your television channel? 30 minutes of X-Play surrounded by Cops and Cheaters and Ninja Warrior for the rest of the day is just terrible.
Can we get just 1 tournament for Starcraft 2 on G4TV as a trial run? If it is well advertised here and on your website, it will get more viewers than Cops.

A lot of people don't have g4tv while basically everyone has access to the internet. If they were to air starcraft 2 on tv, the majority would be watching a stream of it on the internet anyways.

Seriously, I always wondered why they would show cops/cheaters over professional gaming of ANY kind. I can't see how gaming wouldn't get more viewers.

I doubt it to be honest. Many people are much more comfortable watching things on TV than on internet streams, and TV is in fact the only way to get this content to many people, even when they're hardcore gamers. A lot of people just don't even think about esports or watching it on internet streams.
Definitely spread the word to other forums you guys may visit or any site with a pulse. This would be an excellent showcase for competitive SC2 and eSports in general.

Loved your guys' interview with Geoff. Really good questions and he gave some great answers. Was great how it was a big interview too, to many interviews seem to end before they should and leave to many questions unanswered. This seemed to hit just about everything for the most part.
That really is a fantastic interview, it was long, answered a lot of questions, and generally left me satisfied that I know what the hell is happening with NASL.

Great job.
Totally agree. Now I'm really hyped for this league.
No why would anyone take g4 seriously? But I'll bet you anything this guy is serious and clearly shows he knows nothing about starcraft or its community.
Oh g4... How I miss The Screen Savers. Revision3 it is! Though I do actually think it a good thing they featured the showmatch - publicity, publicity, publicity.
There's making fun of it, then there's just using tired stereotypes.
I mean, really, that's not exactly scathing satire. "It's boring!" Wow, amazing. "Sunlight and mobility". LOL, we've never heard the one about how nerds are fat basement dwellers, right?
Making fun of things is fine. What these guys are doing the equivalent of posting image macros from five years ago. It was barely funny at the time, and now it just makes you look pathetic and uncreative.

It's also picking the wrong stereotype for the wrong group of people. Which just makes him seem like a complete idiot. This is not the wow community.
Its the sterotypical PC gamer/Geeky harcore gamer persona he was harping on. A handful of games tend to draw that imagery more than others. Generally if there is a really strong and hardcore fanbase, it qualifies. I don't mind them cracking the occasional joke, because at least it keeps the game in the general public mind.
But I hope they end up supporting the SC2 community in the future.
@SpiNN
The NASL would be a good discussion point for Feedback perhaps...just saying. ^_^ Also, good interview.
:D No problem. I will edit and upload more photos personally when I get a chance, just wanted to get those first ones up ASAP. I know another guy was also taking a LOT of photos there so there's more to come from him.

so does g4 have any plans of doing an open tournament say like 1024 players or something that would be the equivalent of the EG's master's cup (which yall covered back in December)?
or will you say "no comment" and that means something might be in the works...?
Hey guys! I know how much you loved (^_^) voting in G4's Videogame Deathmatch, taking SC2 all the way to the top. Well, it needs your help AGAIN! This time vs. Elder Scrolls. Currently we're losing 43% to 57% so go and vote. You already signed up from last time, so vote vote vote here:
I dunno if it deserves its own thread, but the current match up is Starcraft Versus Warcraft. It could get ugly. Starcraft is at about 49% to Warcraft's 51%....

The SC2 content is appreciated, but those silly death matches are just too much. What lows will you guys stoop to next to get a few page clicks? For crying out loud
