I do not waste my opponents time and he should not try to waste mine. People answering their phones during a game should not be playing in the first place. | ||

What's also important about not being able to see the chat during a game is that it actually helps you to keep focused and calm, because you never know what can get to you on emotional level during (after) most intense games. | ||

Ah yes, because you always know in advance when you're gonna get a phone call or someone rings at your door. The nerves on some people... The rare times someone pauses on me, guess what, they're not away very long, they come back and ask if I'm ready, and we move on with a real game. Not some cheap ass win you got for being an absolute dick | ||

Would you skip someone turn in a tabletop game if his phone start ringing in the middle of it? Or because their partner came in to ask if they had something planed for supper? It's basic courtesy at some point. If someone pause for 5 minutes without saying anything it's one thing, but straight un-pausing is just being a dick. | ||

It started with people pausing and leaving without any explanation, which, in my opinion makes it also ok to un-pause without any further explanation. If you disagree, you are a welcome. I have no problem with that. If someone paused and asks for a break to fix the mouse or whatever, I have no problem with that either, but I think you better explain why you need to pause the game. That is common courtesy. Anyways, this is not something I think is worth a lot discussion. It's just  | ||
