no. its the fault of the one using it and no one else's.
not saying that banning would be apropriate but your statement is wrong.

No, it's blizzard's fault. If there's a bug being exploited it's on the game makers to patch it and tournaments to outlaw it. Until that happens there's nothing wrong with it. It's not like it's going to make any impact in a matchtime situation anyways, but if it did I wouldn't go "fucking cunt, exploiting a GIGANTIC hole that the game programmers left wide open unknowingly. You should be punished for their error".

This is a fun little bug but to be honest it would be very hard to pull off in an actual match. It would be a big waste of money if you thought yay ill send out some space reapers and end up having them disappear. I think ill just stick to normal harassment

I think you could get banned for that.

You can't get banned for using something that blizzard failed at leaving out. Only if it was a third party program/hack would you be banned.

This is the StarCraft II Exploitation and Client/Server Manipulation Policy. I think abusing this bug on the ladder would certainly skirt the line between "abuse of in game mechanics" and "exploiting bugs." I think the following sentence deserves careful consideration: "...bug exploitation involves the abuse of what is essentially a programming mistake."
If Blizzard were to consider this a bug exploit and one were to use it on the ladder, temporary (and possibly even permanent) account suspension may be justified under this policy.
Just be careful everyone.

Wow... I believe that Blizz shoudn't ban the 3 or 4 players that are using this glitch... But they should fix this asap.
|
LOL EPIC
thanks for sharing :D
may be blizzard will keep this in as a legit strategy? I mean, clumping all those buildings together isn't the best idea (they're all important) and etc. etc.
|
They sure weren't so up in arms to ban me for using the phoenix bug a while back, huh.
|
IMO blizzard should not ban abuser, but release a quick patch.
I do like a quick patch than a late one with bans.
|
Finding the exploit and messing around with it is fine (like first discovering it in one game, and messing around in custom games with it...maybe 1-3 ladder games for shits and giggles)
Now..there is a grey area with this. What I think is that if a user is exploiting this bug to gain a competitive advantage for 10+ games...then we may have a problem...
|

|
People are saying that you don't gain an advantage from this but in fact, on a 4 player map like outpost, it's pretty powerfull I did this for funz qnd giggle and i burned the 4 mineral lines of my opponent without them realizing what was happening :p
|
This is not like the Ultralisk aoe bug where you can't avoid exploiting the bug because that would mean not using Ultralisk, this is a bug you have to deliberately go out of your way to do that could potentially break the balance of the game.
I'm pretty sure you can get banned from WoW for exploiting bugs as well even if they're not using third party programs and other companies besides Blizzard have taken a stance against exploits even if they don't use third party programs. So yeah willing to bet you can get banned for this, just because Blizzard left a bug in does not mean it's fair game to use.
|
Unless you do this bug for like 100+ games, I'm pretty sure the worst case scenario is you would be temp banned for like a week...that's it.
What I think that will most likely happen to aggressive abusers (like ~20 games of lol-cols)...3 game temp-ban MAX...even that is pretty doubtful

This works well on Outpost in 4v4.

hopefully this will at least make them think, "well, we need to patch this. ....guys do you think there's anything else that we should patch while we're patching things?"
