And you're getting a lot better as a host. Bringing more direction to the casts. Keep up the great work!

Given the nature of starcraft and how every race see maps different. You really need a good terran player as part of the commentators. Listening to everyone commenting about how the new map (Shakuras Plateau) was good for Zerg and that made it good map overall made me puke. How can they be so blind by the race they are playing? Every reason Artosis gave for the map, was the equivalent of Why Steppes of war/ Incineration zone is good for terran and bad for other races. I remember when everyone was crying foul when terran armies were just sieging up everywhere on incineration zone, an obviously bad map for balance purposes, but the "best map for terran". And now when Zerg has a favored map, it is somehow accepted and lauded as the best ever by the panel?? A map has to strike a balance for all races. Not just one. If a Artosis can claim that this map is the Best map for zerg, then this makes it automatically the worst map of the pool. A Map can not have a favored race. This kind of blind analysis is what I would expect from a 5 year old arguing why chocolate is better than vanilla, but not from a high end starcraft player. Incontrol tried to make the point using the War example, but he was not articulate enough at it. Also... How can Artosis insult HUK that way and go unchecked / unchallenged. The comment about how roaches were good/bad vs colosus, and Artosis basically called HUK an idiot for thinking that. Seriously WTF has artosis done on the professional SC2 scene( besides qualifying to GSL 1 where we saw a bunch of low caliber players(artosis) getting weed out on the first round). Give HUK some respect, he won at least a good tournament and is ranked on top of the ladder. He EARNED some respect for the commentators/community.

Cause you go on for a page about how you disagree with the reasons artosis gave for shakuras, etc...but that's got nothing to do with SotG. Sounds like you disagree with artosis. Great, take a number and join the club. Artosis has strong opinions about things in SC2, just as I'm sure everyone has their own takes on certain aspects of the game, but there's no reason to just rage out against the podcast as your opening statement. And if you really don't like the podcast, then just don't listen, easy as that. Same as with every other product in this world, you don't like it, just don't consume it.

Give HUK some respect, he won at least a good tournament and is ranked on top of the ladder. He EARNED some respect for the commentators/community. Get one thing straight. There was no Argument on Shakuras Plateau. iNcontroL hadn't played it much, if at all. Artosis was probably the only one that played it and his opinion was that it was a good map. Noone could dispute this because noone else had played on the map. And as far as the map? It is actually a really, really fun map. The Natural is great for every race, the third isn't too far away so if P or T fast expands then zerg can double expand reasonably safely. The middle area has a good amount of space, with LoS blockers and other good terrain placement. The Xel'Naga watch towers are in good places and are important to hold. There are backdoors, BUT you have to break 2 rocks to get through them giving the defending player plenty of time to get his defense up on that side. It's a good map for 1v1. And Artosis vs HuK on roach and collosi there are a couple things happening here. 1) Artosis has been in the SC community since the Dawn of Time where as HuK only appeared 6 months ago. 2) HuK does not play many Zergs on the ladder, as there are only a handful of them on the Ladder that are near his ELO. His vZ comes mostly from custom practice games. 3) Roaches are not a counter to the Collosus. 3 Range vs 9 Range siege damage on something with unit-walking. HuK is a very good player but his accomplishments are very recent where Artosis has a LONG history of RTS. That said, Artosis should have chosen his words a little better. Also, there is a HuK Fan thread in the community section you can vent in and more people will care.

There was no Argument on Shakuras Plateau. iNcontroL hadn't played it much, if at all So what is the point of talking about that only one of the players out of 5 have played on. So one player gave his very biased opinion, and the others just sit on silence. Too much terran bashing overall. Like when a terran player wins, it is because of imba, but when a zerg/toss wins, then he has skill.
