There should be no discussion about it. It's not open to everybody.
That said, they said they're allowing koreans if they can attend the finals and don't mind the latency. So you're right, there should be no discussion about it.

how are people still talking about dt vs banshee? it seems pretty clear that:
dt rush is autoloss vs raven builds (which are pretty common) anything without a robotics (4 gate, whatever) automatically loses to a cloak opening
i can't think of any situation where a dt rush would give me an automatic win in the same way that a cloak rush does, the only thing close is some sort marine/tank or marine/thor allin where they only have one oc but no raven. you can't really go dts against this because it could easily be a raven rush from a scouting perspective at the time you have to go dt.
anyone who can't see how much more resilient the terran race is to cloaked stuff is of questionable intelligence.

Don't worry, you still have 51 other weeks in the year when they will have their normal format. Very good, you only quoted a part of my post, neglecting the part where I state that it could have been good if the questions asked had been any good. Also, I don't see where I said I was not fine with them having an episode I didn't enjoy. Especially since so many apparently enjoyed it. I have no problem with them having an episode I found less than enjoyable, because you can't please everybody at once.
The reason I posted is because I think they want feedback on their show. And I hope they want feedback beyond "I creamed my pants", "this was the best episode in the world because they talked about spreading games and if everybody were playing games there'd be no war lulz". Now they know that 10000 people thought it was the best episode, and that 1 or 2 thought it was sub-par, nothing wrong with that.

Also everyone has their own opinion what questions are good and bad. You have indicated you didn't not like the questions. I liked a couple of them. You can't please everyone.

I apologize if I came off as hostile in my previous post, my point was basically the same as yours, you can't please everyone. And I'm sure some panel sessions can make for a good show/Q&A, but I just thought the questions this time wasn't really good. But I think I enjoyed some of them, and I'm looking forward to Day[9] vs Artosis :D
Have a nice evening

That's the problem with not having a player who plays on the European server as a host/guest, they don't know how good the European players are. It's pretty hard to talk about TSL if you don't know 1/4 of the players.
Idra is starting to play on the European server, so I still have some hope that it will change, but Idra is also a guy who calls 99% of his opponents bad ...
An example from the German podcast with HasuObs, Socke, Darkforce, Insolence and Delphi: Of course they didn't know how strong Fruitdealer is, but they said that Thorzain definitely has chances to win his match. Darkforce said that Thorzain has a strong TvZ and Socke mentioned that Thorzain declined to play against him because he wanted to concentrate on TvZ until his TSL match is over (this shows that he was really well prepared). That was really much more interesting than hearing about sunrise/tomatoes and the Tyler vs Fruitdealer match.
(I really hope that Idra can fill the gap, so SOTG will be more awesome, but he can only talk about the zerg matchups)

Request for the next show:
Idra talks about mass forcefields with tyler and incontrol and how it may change/break PvZ!
|
PAX was their first "mass outing", hope there will be more to come..
This new format adds ... even though we will always prefer the more "advanced" regular course!
long live sotg

I have missed the show for the last couple of weeks because the VOD is so hard to get to.. It takes about 2 hours for me to download the 50mb file with a 50/50 mbit connection..
I really enjoy the show JP, it's a shame that people like me have to have such a hard time getting to your content

Question one: Why not wait the 2h? Just leave it in the background.
Suggestion: It takes me over 2h to download it if I just leave it alone, but doing the "pause, resume" constantly it takes under 5 minutes.

But you also have to take into consideration that in the late game when it is 4 base vs 4 base it is easier for the Protoss to warp in 4 DTs and send them to the enemy his expansions while it is harder for the Terran to make 4 banshees and send them to the enemy bases.
On top of that it is harder for the Terran to defend against DTs because he is out of position, while it is easier for protoss because they can warp in a couple stalkers. But then again, when the Terran brought his army he can scan, while the protoss has to make/bring 4 observer to all the expansion to kill the banshees. And the banshees can fly into dead space while the DTs have an harder time to hide.
To me they are both balanced and strong units. But hey, I am zerg.

Regardless I don't think ANYONE could have predicted Thorzain to win even if they knew of him like some people maybe had confidence in him but I'm pretty sure 99% of people out there thought Fruitdealer was going to crush that and the 1% that didn't are fortune teller's.
It was the fact that everyone thought he was going to be smashed that made it so fucking epic to watch him 2-0 a former GSL Champion.
Besides they do bring on European players as guests but having one on full time would be odd unless they were specifically a Terran player to balance out the discussion (as IdrA seems to have become a full time pillar of Starcraft anyways).
I think the only European that'd be worth bringing onto the show full time would be Jinro but he's way too busy for that I'd imagine.

This just in from JP's Twitter.
A great disturbance was felt across the land, followed by a quiet calm, and then loud cheering SC2, I'm yours again
