Tyler is such a smart guy, I couldn't agree more with his arguments against the 5 person per team rule. Why not just make teammates play each other first? Seems like this would account for 99% of possible collusion scenarios.

Day9 has kind of been representing Terran but he plays random, so whenever there's balance debates it's always kind of one sided because there's no one to debate against idra/incontrol/Tyler.

Caster and Day9 daily maker, consider how much he travels just to cast games.. no chance that he'll be able to play enough to be participating (or having a chance at winning rather) tournaments.

So I stumbled across this pod cast called “State of the Game” early in February, you may have heard about it? If you like Starcraft it is a pretty big deal. So download and tune in you will not be disappointed. At first I thought I would start from the beginning and work my way up to the current episode but that proved to be difficult. The content is time sensitive so it felt antiquated when listening to patch notes I already knew or were not relevant any more. So I moved up to a nice round number, episode 20. The production quality of this show around then is quite good. It felt very much like a talk show and the format was perfect to listen to at work. Great when you want to think about Starcraft while simultaneously trying to evaporate 2-3 hours at work. As I became current and found myself waiting for the latest episode I decided to go back to the beginning and listen to the rest. The content may be antiquated but once you start to enjoy the “characters” of the show their interaction with each other and the community, and everything that entails, is still quite valid. I do not have a favorite episode yet, I love most of them fairly evenly however I did not enjoy the “drunken stupor” one. Most likely because I am an old fudy dudy, and just did not connect with it. Looking back on my listening to the show, from my car on the way to work, while at work waiting for 5:30 to hit, or while retiring for the night I have so many memories of either yelling furiously at the radio because some statement about “poor toss” or “stupid terran” or LOL my arse off at something GEOFF said while offending 30 million people. I love the production aspects of the show. I love the content. I wish terran were represented by a true pillar and not guests that JP and Tyler.Robinson Arkon bash. I tolerate all the hosts bashing the community but think they should nurture it more for the shows sake. All in all you have made a fan of me, thanks much! My perspective of the hosts in true SOTG no nonsense style is as follows: JP – At first, who is this geek that I first saw shadowed by DAY 9 at MLG Raleigh while casting, with a semi annoying voice? But after some time I feel he is the perfect host to this show, I am grateful to him for creating it, though I like him best when he is non partial and not battering the community or guests with hate. The Pros can do that, in their heads, they think they are gods so they can get away with it, but JP, stand up for the audience man… you are one of us, in relation to the Starcraft game. LOL. L.Tyler – Well every show like this needs an arrogant, elitist, condescending, spokesperson (true athlete, even if it is for E-sports) but I have to agree with the posts, when Tyler talks he does have something to say. And it usually is accurate, to the point, and no nonsense… I can respect that. Geoff InControl – This man I can relate to the most. He is no nosense, loud, outspoken, sensitive at times, a conversation bully, his mouth gets him more hate than his thin skin can handle, accurate to a fault, and above all entertaining. Pretty much a true Male in every sense of the word. At first I was thinking, “who is this guy”? But once you “get him” he is the heart of the show. Such passion for his chosen career, trying to make it grow, etc etc. Though I hate Protoss with a with every breath I still watch his stream because he makes me LOL while I actually learn things. Thank You sir. (no secret he is one of my favorites huh) All that being said I feel the show and Geoff himself would be represented better if he spoke 15%ish less and they filled that time with Day9, who does not speak enough. Day9 – Nerd crush here, hearts to this man, though from what I can tell as far as SOTG goes his participation is lacking. I would love it if the show could arrange itself so that Day9 could participate more with the type of energy he brings to his Dailies. To me Day9 is the bridge between the other pillars who rule from the heaves above like GODs and us little folk who enjoy what they have to say. Day 9 if you get to read this two things m8, 1) take this show more serious, even if you have to drop a daily to do it… I think in the long run it will represent you, and the community, well. And 2) when someone sends you a donation with a question about strategy, THOSE are the questions you should return mail too, LOL! -Grey Bush, probably your oldest fan. Oh Postscript, Idra a Pillar for reals? Come on… at best he is one of those two grumpy old men that sat up in the balcony of “The Muppets”. I love it when he is on the show AS A GUEST, I root for him in games, but as far as this show goes he just isn’t pillar quality yet. Let him work out his speaking and interpersonal skills on “Imbalance” first, J
