If I buy an MLG t-shirt, how do they know I'm trying to support SC2?
Generically, I guess I should be trying to support all e-sports, but I only watch SC2. I don't want MLG to think my purchasing of a t-shirt was a show of support for Halo or Black-Ops or any other game they add.
I also don't expect every last cent of my purchase to go towards SC2, I just want the purchase to be recognized as support for SC2.

Great point, if there is a specific way to accomplish this I would definitely do it.

I also don't expect every last cent of my purchase to go towards SC2, I just want the purchase to be recognized as support for SC2. Not all, but many of MLG's t-shirts are themed around a game and/or platform (Xbox, PC, etc). Their effort to level the playing field this year is a strong indicator that they'll be announcing SC2 and/or PC-themed apparel in the near future (almost certainly before Dallas) - they will want to have swag to sell at the events for each of their main stage games. Obviously, sales from these items can easily be mapped back to the game(s) they're referencing, which addresses your question (at least in regards to a portion of their apparel).
General MLG apparel (i.e., non game-specific shirts/hats with the MLG logo) is, as you imply, more of an open question as to how/if that'd be linked back to SC2 -- in all likelihood, it's probably not. They probably just break down the swag sales into categories and - up until now - much of that has been either general MLG merch or Halo-themed merch, the latter of which I'm sure they've made a killing on (particularly when MLG started offering name-customized player shirts at the venue).

Apparently Sundance will be announcing something big on Bloomberg this Wednesday morning, which coincides with his 'announcement of an announcement' from SotG last week.
Sundance's brief discussion regarding his recent trips to HK and UK and the prospect of "going global" got me wondering: is there any connection between today's announcement of China's Ministry of Culture approving SC2 and MLG's efforts to expand internationally? Did Sundance travel to Hong Kong to talk about partnering with a company over there to hold MLG-branded tournaments in China?
It's possible/likely that I'm making connections where none exist, but in any case, it's interesting discussion.

nah sounds farely possible to me, I mean he must know that china is an extremely strong market for e-sports in general. Like you said, the stars align!

Hong Kong is a special administrative region of China (as of 1997). As one of the world's biggest commerce centers, it wouldn't be surprising if MLG's potential Chinese partner was headquartered there.

A brilliant stream indeed, possibly the best StarCraft 2 I've seen, personality; humour; analysis and commentary, what more could a person possibly need?I absolutely adore everything you're doing for the StarCraft 2 community, more free content than we know what to do with (and the paid coaching for those who request it), you're the best member of State of the Game, I love watching your casting, especially that Rumble in the Bronze a few months ago and now we're gifted with the luxury of the greatest StarCraft 2 stream in existence. You're a pinnacle of what E-sports players should aspire to and I extremely appreciate the mass amount of content you're putting out. As for your team, they have graced us with the brilliant EGMasters Cup (twice) with some good games the first time and better the second time, again commentated with fantastic commentators. I really hope this secret project will achieve momentous success as you and Team EG definitely deserve it. As for the stream itself. I seem to have issues with buffering and it seems to artifact quite often, unfortunately I have not attempted to stream anything before so I do not know how to resolve that. Sorry I insulted the pro gamer you love and adore. You were completely justified in searching through my post history to valiantly come and defend your incontrol. Though I'll be honest, I think he's old enough to speak for himself. Maybe its a culture difference but there's a term in Canada called "dick riding" Edit: spelling Lolol. Nice burn imo... But seriously, gaizz, cant ve ol jes git along..
