I think the final event's big prize money is to influence players to make it to the MLG micro-tournaments, so they can get enough points to make it to the final. The event then will grab more players perhaps even top Korean players who get knocked out of the GSL early enough to make it to the MLG. This will then generate more money perhaps even Koreans paying for a stream ect. Then all of a sudden next year when they analyze how much money starcraft makes them they could then afford to distribute more prize money per tournament OR even add a few more tournaments per year again still bumping up the cash for the regulars. It is probably the best layout for a tournament attempting to get a good grip on the market IMO. | ||

He's the Carlos Mencia of Starcraft personalities. He's better than most casters out there, but its kind of silly to try to put him on the same level as totalbiscuit. For one, they dont even do the same type of commentating. TB is a proud silver/gold leaguer, he's like a british version of Husky, but IMO quite a bit more entertaining than almost all other casters I've heard. He really gives alot of the games a really epic feel even if he doesnt explain all the subtleties going on. Totalbiscuit, Wheat, Day9, Tasteless (not artosis), Husky, demuslim, and JP out of all the people i've gotten the privelege of hearing are the personalities that can deliver e-sports to the masses. I actually think Chill is pretty decent too when he casts with Wheat or Day9... sometimes he gets a little giddy or overly enthusiastic about a player he's watching and how good they are, but overall he's a good mix. Chill is a shock to even me because at one point in time he was really an annoyance to me on "weapon of choice". I think he can be a good caster. I've never heard Torch personally but I guess I'll find out soon how good he is. | ||

It'll be nice to have Total Biscuit on the show, considering he plays WoW...JP plays WoW, and Tyler plays WoW...maybe they might make it a WoW podcast lol...Truthfully I just wanna see TB and Inc duke it out with their british accents. Make it happen JP! | ||

With 2 casters, one can devout himself to the actual commentating. The other can fill in the color and analysis. Totalbiscuit casting the epic year long game of morrow vs kiwikaki was amazing. The job he did was so good. I dont give a fuck that hes English. Makes no odds. Hes simply far, far more entertaining than most other casters, including iNcontrol. Have you heard iNcontrol casting? Its devoid of pretty much anything exceptional? His analysis is a shade on Artosis' or Day9's. His game knowledge might be better but he delivers it somehow without any bite. It doesnt cause my brain to click or connect onto the point hes raising. iNcontrol easily and by far the best coach ive heard coaching though. I do agree with that with 2 casters TotalB would be fucking awesome. No denying it. And I will also agree with that the MorroW vs Kiwikaki series was funny as hell to watch and I enjoyed his commentary. Im not saying he is worthless or anything like that. I said it was my personal preference to have an analytical commentator... Do I think all should follow that suit? Fuck no. Would be boring as hell. I truly and deeply adore Total for his devotion to the scene (both wow and sc2) and hes done far far more than I ever have for its growth and in terms of spreading it so I like him. And the whole "said the english man" wasn't serious meant if you didn't pick that up :p (Im not too good at conveying sarcasm in text form). | ||
