on a completely unrelated note, you're the first person ive seen with >1000 posts and an scv icon. That's mildly impressive that you were able to come up with 25+ non-bannable posts a day for that long.

HAHA! I swear, there are at least 500+ posts about this topic and the SOTG host had a mind-melting 1 hour + conversation with MLG Lee himself about this. Those were dark times, my friend. It always turns into a clusterfuck of people having a circular, unresolvable dead-end conversation regarding "what is fair". As an aside, next time SOTG gets a chance to talk to MLG, they should argue that it's bad for the sport and there business. That's an argument MLG should understand and respect. It's good for MLG's business, if not for extended series we wouldn't still be talking about MLG. Touche. MLG's business plan = annoy fan's into perpetual, sustainable, marketable rage. !
Well that's actually kinda true, But in the end everything works out and MLG lives on and keeps growing. Will pro's stop going to MLG, Because of the extended series rules? Nope!

Length of time of registered is factored in as well I believe.

here's another guy: Pokebunny
I believe he lost a bet/grudge match and the consequences were the scv icon and Noobville. I also believe Jinro has a probe icon (although it's red for moderating powers) even though he's been here for a long time and has >30k posts

I didn't get into the whole extended series debate, but I do want to express my opinion that I wish some of you had solidified your arguments before you went into that and got walked all over by that mlg douche. Screw the fairness debate, that was a weak argument, and you all knew it.
You should have told him that from a spectator's view, a 2 game lead is basically a waste of time. Not only is the player expected to lose, because he already has that day, but now he has an insurmountable handicap. Imagine if the finals ended up with one of these abominations, it would ruin the tournament.
Another argument that could have worked, imagine two players going through the ranks, one gets 2-1's and one gets 2-0's all the way through their brackets, but they never meet. One objectively did better, but he doesn't get an advantage, so the whole extended series thing doesn't even fully do what it purports it should do.

you heard it here first folks... on mach was unimpressed with our preperation for that debate with MLG LEE on the subject that cannot be named!
Onmach to replace JP discussion to be had with the next SOTG STAY TUNED
And in far more relevant news that actually fucking matters we will be doing a drunken SOTG this coming week. Two wine tosses and 1 host coming down from a WoW binge + a guest. Day9 is the embodiment of professionalism so we assume he will not partake but that's ok kids you don't have to drink to be fun.

edit - ops, incontrol just said yes there is a guest :D

Can we establish drinking games rules for those of us at home (assuming this will be live streamed again)? I'd like feel like I was contributing to the show in a relevant way.

I think that the drinking game rules would be better for our liver if the hosts don't know them. Otherwise, it'll be like Artosis and they'll go "high level, high level" x5. On the other hand, it could make it more fun...

Tyler's too chill for drinking to affect him.
Half the time he seems drunk/stoned anyway. I don't think it will matter lol.

Listener drinking game ideas: 2 shots every time a subject that cannot be named... is brought up or hinted at. 1 shot for each time Day9 asks to repeat a user question. 1 Shot each time imbalanced is said.
That's enough to get plastered. which is not good for me because I listen to this on my way into work every morning.
