Always fun to see what happens when Incontrol gets angry :-) I wonder how you calculate ROI in SC2 terms, makes me realize I have no idea how these companies even make money.

There is no real way to calculate ROI in sc2 really because there isn't great metrics to break it down player by player. But when your fans are telling sponsors they buy those products cause they sponsor EG and Incontrol, that is pretty huge.

I Think TSL3 had the best solution to the disconnect issue.
They had a panel of 3? or 5 pros/others analyze the situation and come to a conclusion based on the replay.
I think something like this would've been a great solution to the parting issue, thought TSL3 is pre played, so they had days to get the panel together and anlyze the situation.

They spent way more time talking about who they think will do well at MLG Arena than they did about actual matches that were played at IPL.
You do forget that this show is still basically "State of the MLG". MLG will always take precedence/priority over ANYTHING ELSE that is going on in the SC2 scene. The more you guys bitch and moan at JP about what you ACTUALLY WANT OR DON'T WANT TO SEE ON THE SHOW the better!

I also want to point out that they had a guest that was an mlg employee. So of course they are gonna talk about it a lot. If they had someone that was setting up the Dreamhack tournament they would have talked a lot about it.

Thanks for the impromptu SotG! Really enjoying the discussion.

Is this MLG + OGN they are alluding to??? 2012 is shaping up to be nuts for SC2!

Can't be a SOTG if they don't talk twice more about MLG than other tournaments !

It's not that -- the did something similar with GSL. Lots of time on speculation on who will get out of groups and thought that was going to be the WHOLE segment, that was only luckily saved by Tyler at the end who suddenly launched the conversation into a detailed discussion of Huk's matches.

and you are dead on about if a DH person was there they would have said more. look at how much the talked about iron squid cause TB was there.

Actually nevermind. The post doesn't even deserve a response.

I watched the losers bracket and he alluded to it saying there will be stars of a certain game that havent been here before.

I would not have said it that way - but you are right JP.
Also mad props for the great guests you had and the very good info they provided, let alone the enjoyment it is to just listen to someone like TB or Artosis or Sheth/Tyler... even you JP
I was so happy they kind of set the GSTL incident straight right there as well. Brilliant job!

lol.. I was hoping you would fix that. Nice guy :D Anyway, I completely agree with you. This show is great. I actually enjoyed the predictions, especially the props given to Parting.

Forget about the stupid mlg complaints, but i think that originall guy had a good point, why is there so much more time spent talking about what might happen at a tornament than what actually did happen in another tournament, whatever tournaments they might be.

Just to clarify as the original poster -- no complaints here about an MLG bias and I didn't mean to come off that way.
Just a bit tired of predictions. I happened to listen to a few old SotGs recently. With two episodes back to back, it was especially apparent when you guys sometimes spent much more time talking up predictions for a tournament pool as as you did the episode on the following week discussing the actual tournament matches after they had been played.

So JP said MLG'Adam tweeted BW pros will be at MLG Anaheim. That's gonna be sick.
