Tyler also brought up the SEA region in terms of NASL having a bad timing for the finals - to be fair all NA/EU events are at a horrible time for SEA so NASL was no different in that regard.
What the GSL do is have their finals on a Saturday, finals being on a Sunday just highly limits the viable times for a broadcast.

Ok, that makes sense and is a valid complaint. Also having to drop 25 bucks to watch vods if you can't make it sucks.

MLG Anaheim finals were at 7pm PST. I really have no idea why the outcry is 100x worse now than back then.

I 2nd that.

Is twitter case sensitive? are we doing #ESPORTS or #eSports?

NASL Final once or Twice a Year ( Why Complain about staying up late one night every half a year).
GSL almost 3-5 Days a week for most months of the year??? (We have to stay up late if we don't pay for VODS Almost Every night)
It's about the finals being played at sunday night/monday morning. It's just a bad idea.

Well, I just brought that but I won't even complain, in fact my sleep schedule was already fucked from the past 2 NASL days + GSL finals so I woke up for the finals without any alarm-clock :D Imo the valid criticism is that there are better times for everyone. MLG one seems perfect because it's good for US and EU.

Sundance just tweeted #eSports.

We're tweeting #ESPORTS, correct?

Really NASL final was the only tournament that started at like 11pm EST.

Not Really Europeans would only have to stay up all night once or twice a year for an NASL final while for GSL Western Hemisphere has to stay up late every night if we don't have payed Subscription for GOMTV
May be somewhat bad for their Viewership but heh Western Hemisphere who can't pay for GOMTV VOD has to do it almost every weekday.

And yet for many Europeans, GSL is played at a time where the vast majority of us will be at work or school. So I get the pass and watch it spoiler free when I get home.
For NASL, can we honestly say the VOD system is solid enough to do that? For damn sure it wasn't season one. Plus it's the finals and for us nothing happens until 4am when they start playing the 3rd place match. I watched like 3 games and was like 'lol gg, gl Hero'.
Plus aren't the GSL finals played earlier in the day specifically to get a higher proportion of western hemisphere audience?

Well yeah, because most MLGs are either EST or CST venues. Anaheim's their only west coast venue.

The difference is that NASL could have started their fucking final 3-4 hours earlier, right after the HON event instead of waiting at 11PM EST. Really no excuses. I don't understand how anyone can defend this point.

I don't think it's case sensitive

Again, this was the finals of a long season. I also believe that the hours hurt the live audience numbers since you have to count for travel and the radius gets shorter for every hour late. Sundays is just not optimal, especially not late sundays.
